( Explanations )

The Warden and the Mistress: These are the Alpha Male and Female, and they rule the pack side by side. It changes from couple to couple who is the most dominant of the two, and thereby who is the ultimate leader of the pack. Their word is law, and disobedience will be punished accordingly.

General: The General is the second-in-command and a trusted adviser to the Warden and the Mistress. His or her main responsibility is making sure the fighters are always fit for fight. Whenever the Alphas are not around, it is the General who is the top authority.

The Brotherhood of Senka: Senka meaning shadow, the Brotherhood of Senka are the spies of the pack. They are few, but vital. They infiltrate wherever they can to collect as much information as possible, and often it is a well kept secret that they are members of the Tempest Pack. The spies are referred to as "brothers" and "sisters", and their leader goes under the codename Senka - a name that is passed on from leader to leader.

Soldiers of the Bloody Paw: The Soldiers are the elite fighters and the defenders of the pack. In the everyday they perform a variety of tasks, acting as scouts, bodyguards and trainers. Whenever the Soldiers have won a fight, they always leave their telltale sign at the scene - an imprint of a Paw that has been dipped in the blood of their enemies.

The Order of the Fang: The Fangs are the hunters of the pack, and their ranks are most often filled by the fastest and most agile of the canines. They make sure that the pack is never lacking food, and provide for those unable to provide for themselves. They also act as scouts and gather information where they go. In battle their mission is often to circle the enemy and attack them from behind, and to hunt down those trying to escape.

Elders: The Elders are the canines too old for fighting and hunting. They are the teachers, the philosophers and the pupsitters. They are respected for their wisdom, and they now serve the pack with their minds instead of their bodies.

Juveniles: The Juveniles are the youngsters of the pack. They are the ones who are too old to be considered pups, but have yet to earn their rightful place in the hierarchy. Each Juvenile is given a mentor; an adult canine who acts as supervisor and trainer. Usually the choice of mentor depends on the skills the Juvenile has shown - a Juvenile who has a natural talent for fighting would get a Soldier as a mentor, and so forth. Juveniles gain their full rank at the age of TWO.

Pups: The Pups are the canines younger than a year. They are the future of the pack and treasured as such. Though they are trained in discipline already as pups, they are also the ones who are given the longest leash, as it is recognized that they are still only children. Pups become Juveniles at the age of NINE MONTHS

Omega(s): The lowest of the low in the pack, right above the Slaves and Prisoners of course. Generally the "scapegoat" type. While this seems like a cruel place to be, it is absolutely needed for the pack to function properly.

Slaves: In principle the Tempest Pack does not keep slaves - after all the best enemy is a dead enemy. But once in a while one creature is left alive, for one reason or the other. These animals function as servants to the pack, tolerated but never quite accepted.

Prisoners: Once in a while an enemy is captured and kept instead of killed - sometimes for the information they possess, sometimes to be used as bait in a trap, and sometimes to be used to blackmail the pack they're from. The prisoners are usually kept in the Mental Asylum.

The Banished: The Banished are the creatures who have somehow been expelled from the pack. They are the traitors, the cowards and the murderers. Should they ever tread the lands of the Tempest Pack again, any pack member may kill them without fear of reproach.
