"Speech"
Things were moving too fast for Grizzly. Everything was hard for him to keep up with, with the stranger behind him and Nutmeg talking. Thankfully, she'd gotten out of the tree and made sure to speak slow enough for him to catch. Honestly, he just felt so stupid. Fast moments always made him feel stupid; not being able to hear. Was eyesight better than sound? Was this easier for blind cats? He shrugged, as he listened to his friend. Nutmeg talked about this cat getting her into trouble and something about a pack of dogs, none of which sounded good. Trusting Nutmeg, as he always has, he nodded in agreement when she mentioned getting into the tree. Lowering himself to the ground, adding a little wiggle, he leapt up into the tree. Climbing his way onto a branch, he watched as Nutmeg spoke something to the stranger; who was already running back from where he came from earlier.
Still nothing clicked, Grizzly just wasn't following this situation completely. The weight of his stupidity felt like it was crushing him, suffocating him. Maybe it was the lack of sleep, but he just felt like huffing up and either fussing or yelling. Why was he feeling so emotional? Then again, it happened whenever he couldn't follow situations. Cocking his head to Nutmeg, he read her lips as she asked about if he was keeping tabs on her. Again, he couldn't hear her tone. Which one would think he'd be over, but not today. "You never came home, I was worried you'd been killed. Sorry, thought you'd do the same for me. " he stated bluntly, but then met her eyes with a look of regret. "I just worried, sorry." he added, this time being more civil.
Although now, he just could not get what could be happening with the strange male out of his head. Surely, he wasn't running towards the dogs? It seemed like he was. Grizzly felt sick to his stomach, so worried that while he was sitting here on his lazy rump, a cat was sacrificing his life for two cats who were in a tree cowering. Well, actually he knew Nutmeg was the smartest out of all of them but his heart was just telling him that he couldn't be a wimp this time. Looking over to Nutmeg once more, he felt the automatic urge to get out of that tree; and he followed it. He landed gracefully and then took off running towards where the strange cat had gone. "I can't leave someone to die, Nutmeg." he yelled back. He felt no need to tell her to stay there and wait on him, he knew his best friend. He knew that even though she cared, she would be smart and stay in that tree. Well, honestly, he hoped she cared. But he knew she'd stay in that tree.
As he followed the smell of the cat, he made horrible exotic noises. He never actually knew what he sounded like, but he knew his yelling had to be awful. Probably sounded like a dying cat, which he'd prefer to fake the sounds than to know they were occurring. Staying light to his feet, he caught of the corner of his eye where the male was being cornered by the dogs. Fiercely coming to a halt, he continued with the sounds. His plan was to stand there and yell and shout; even coax the dogs out with fighting words and give the male enough time to run. Corner a cat and their chances are slim; chase a cat and your chances are slim. He knew he could run, he just hopped the male would run opposite of Nutmeg and him. Or at least if the dogs were following him, he would know better than to follow Grizzly. It was an amusement park after all, there were so many places that he could turn and confuse the dog's scent. He'd probably have to travel a bit farther though, get the scent away from Nutmeg and the cave. Grizzly was not going to help this cat if it meant that Nutmeg would get hurt. No strange male was worth her, not at all.
He knew his chances were good. Or so he hoped.
OOC: Uhm, that's the best I got. I didn't know how else to save Salazar. I figured Grizzly will perhaps post one last time and it'll be just him leading the dogs away. And Pic, maybe Nutmeg knows that Grizzly will be gone for a day or two; leading the dogs elsewhere? Idkkkk.
