VALKYRIE.
1 year, 11 months - Female - Canine - Timber x Arctic Wolf - Tempest - Soldier of the Bloody Paw
Personality:
During her time in captivity, Valkyrie's hatred of felines will grow, and when she escapes, she well be more determined than ever to destroy them, and also to eventually lead the Tempest Pack. She will also become more bitter, and easily depressed. However, as she settles back into pack life, she will become what her mother would have been and was - a sassy, impertinent young female who answers back to everyone and guards her pride with a tongue as sharp as a claw. However, she's afraid of getting attached to someone emotionally, for fear of them dying (she fears of ending up like her mother), so she treats males and females the same, and ignores any remarks on her looks made by males, or dogs and other male canines chasing after her. Usually, if they are insistent, she will notice them, only to treat them with disdain.
The same goes for friends; she treats everyone in the Tempest Pack as comrade and an equal, and it is quite hard for someone to befriend her, as she speaks quite bluntly and brusquely a lot of the time, for the sole purpose of repelling those who whom she may form an attachment to. She may tire of this, though, and eventually gain a few friends if someone causes her to see reason. As a friend, she would be extremely protective, caring and trusting if they prove to be worth her trust. As for a mate - she would be a proud and as passionate a lover as any she-wolf would be, and love him dearly, though make sure he knew that she needs no protecting, and protect him with her life.
What Valkyrie will not admit to herself is that she is emotionally unstable because of her time in captivity. She is argumentative and is easily enraged, but that is not the worst of it. She has convinced herself that loving others (as motioned before), only causes her pain in the long run, so while she loves her brothers, she attempts to remain aloof from all other attachments. She also becomes depressed easily, especially when horrible memories plague her. Gradually she will come to realize that spending her life hiding from emotions is a bad thing.
Valkyrie is quite a confident, proud creature despite everything, and retains her childhood independence, while revelling in the strong pack structure of Tempest. She is not afraid to say what she thinks, and does try to think before she says something. She is rather intelligent, and rather thoughtful, often spending a long moment thinking over what someone has said to her. This can be taken the wrong way, however, and some creatures think that she is slow-witted because of it. She is also rather passionate about everything she does; she attempts to enjoy everything that she can, such as an exhilarating hunt, fight or argument.
Valkyrie, as an adult, will have a low tolerance for those who lust after and give into the desires of the flesh: she looks down on female and males who do things such as mating with others simply for pleasure and not because they love the one whom they are doing it with, and views them with absolute disgust. She also hates those who lie and murder, especially for personal gain. She has high morals, and this is the main reason why she hates such creatures as mentioned above.
Though she does have many severe weaknesses, Valkyrie can be called a born leader, because she does in fact care about others, being, in actual fact, rather sensitive to their feelings, and rather sentimental. She does her best to think about how her actions impede on others most of the time, and so attempts to hide what she's feeling from them when she doesn't want it to affect them negatively. She also has a high threshold for physical pain, being extremely stubborn and determined, but obviously a rather low one for mental pain. She is a proficient fighter, having had a mentor and her mother to teach her before she was captured. She is very dangerous in a fight, unless her brothers are involved, because apart from them, her parents and her pack as a whole, she has nothing to lose.
Valkyrie longs to meet her father one day, having only heard about him from her mother and other creatures whose stories of him are not nearly as positive. She wishes fervently that he was around and that her parents were leaders of the pack. She is determined to one day follow in her father's earlier pawsteps and take over leadership of the Tempest Pack.
(I know this is all very confusing and repetitive, but I felt that the repositions needed to be there! D8)• likes | Her family, her pack, snow
• dislikes | Felines of the Iris Pride, being made to look a fool, arrogant creatures
• goals | To lead the pack someday, to meet her father
• fears | Losing any of her family or pack | Felines recapturing and breaking her completely, losing to them in battle, falling in love or getting attached to anyone, showing her emotions
• strengths | Kind and considerate (mostly), doesn't believe that all felines deserve to die, independent. Sensitive to the feelings of others, good fighter, natural leader, intelligent
• weaknesses | Sometimes forces her opinions on others without realizing it, headstrong, impudent, emotionally unstable but hides it, (denies this, even to herself) rejects friendship/love because she believes it will only hurt her, isolates herself from others because of this, stubborn, short-tempered, sentimental, sometimes impulsive, can be too trusting or mistrusting, depending on the creature, (as an adult) dislikes change, finds it hard to adapt to change.
Appearance:
Valkyrie is a huge large wolf for her gender and her breed. She has a fairly heavyset girth and is rather long-limbed. Her legs are thick and powerful, and well-muscled. Her shoulders are powerful and but not quite as massive as those of a male her size, and her face is is triangular in shape. Her would-be dangerous claws are little more than short, black stubs on the ends of her paws but will soon grow back to menacing appendages. Her paw pads are tough and scarred from walking around hard concrete. Her paws themselves are small in comparison to her legs, but are still bigger than those of large dogs. Her fur is thick and bushy, and is an eye-catching combination of various browns and greys, as well as a few shades of orange and white.
Her eyes, a murky brown while she was a cub, are a beautiful amber with black markings outlining them, and if one looks deep into them, they may see the determination and intensity that is almost her hallmark. All the other emotions that she feels so often are hidden away inside her, where no-one can do so much as catch a glimpse of them unless he is pushed to her physical or mental limits. Valkyrie's ruff is no more or less impressive than any other wolf's, but it is made up of a combination of mostly orangey-white and black fur. Her proud, pointed ears are covered with orange fur occasionally laced with black. Her snout is a fairly normal width for a females, and is regular length. Her nose is black and many black whiskers frame it. Her tail is thick and bushy, and is a light orange, black and white-brown.
