She had found a comfortable spot on the beach but, she was crouched down and looking around, as if waiting for something to jump out of no where and attack her. Marnie had arrived first, expecting the others to be here before her. She wanted the company of her friends, even though there was a chance that any one of them could turn on her.
She didn't say anything but, she technically didn't object to the idea of attacking Tempest. Marnie had her own reasons for agreeing to it. She actually agreed with Celia, Brook was the reason why the war hadn't ended, even after the lioness named Florence was long gone. What did that dog think she could accomplish? Did the Tempest Mistress even know how much trouble she caused by not fighting her thirst for blood? Marnie growled at the thought of the Tempest leader, the city would be better off without her.
She could hear the sounds of footsteps approaching her general direction. She moved her ears and head to hear where the steps were coming from, and too see if it was an ally or potential enemy. The one approaching was part of the group she was in but, she stayed alert. Marnie didn't say anything but, she continued to watch them cautiously. She unsheathed her claws, in case she had to defend herself.
She wasn't afraid to attack everyone else in the tribe if they threatened her. She would even defend herself against the lioness, though Marnie wouldn't last long. Everyone was out to get her, they had to be. Once the battle started she could get to the one who turned everyone on her in the first place. Marnie stayed crouched as she watched the number of quadrupeds increase. She was happy to have company but, she was wary of all of them. She was prepared for any attack against her.

"Speech"
It had been an exciting few days. Since Celia had called the meeting, the whole of the Lexis Tribe were in a fit of excitement. She has barely been noticed since the meeting, which Elora viewed as a good thing. Her paw had since healed and no one else had hurt her since then. Elora had seen Tribe members who were completely for Celia's idea, and then others who were completely against it and refused to take part in any fighting. Elora couldn't believe the audacity some canines and felines had. Their Tribe was falling to pieces around them, and yet they still refused to do anything about it. They'd be the ones who would be left behind. Elora rolled her eyes as she made her way through the sandy dunes. The warmth was pleasant and it wasn't too bad a day. There was a slight breeze from the coast, but perfect for a training session. She arrived just after Marnie, and Elora stopped quickly.
Marnie was a strange feline who Elora couldn't pin down. Elora spent a lot of her days watching the other members, and Marnie was a strange one. She rarely, if ever, spoke. Her mind seemed to be a cocktail of emotions. Elora kept her distance, hoping she wouldn't have to fight with the Wildcat. She was unpredictable and violent. She'd seen Marnie flip for far less. Gulping, Elora wondered who else would be joining their fighting session. She knew Celia was teaching another group in the Junkyard. Elora smirked. She had heard Crystal's splutter of indignation as soon as the names had been called out. It amused her that so many had already begun to dislike Celia. Elora slightly admired the strong lioness. She was different to the other leaders they'd had. She took a 'hands on' approach. She wasn't afraid to speak her thoughts and she was very interested in fighting.
Sitting down on the sand, Elora looked around for the others. Macbeth was going to be the one teaching them, and Elora appeared to be the only other canine. She wondered whether that'd be an advantage or not. Granted, she couldn't use her claws like felines could, but she was considerably larger than the normal, domestic cat. Still, as Elora glanced at Marnie, she saw they were nearly the same size. And it appeared Marnie was an aggressive, strong headed feline. She could probably tear Elora to shreds... Elora swallowed thickly, and wondered whether she was really cut out to take part in a battle in the near future.

Marching, "Meowing," Musing.
The tawny jungle cat yawned, slightly weary from his burning anticipation. He had been instructed to train a few of the Lexis members in preparation for their attack on the Tempest, and he was glad to do it. Mac appreciated the fact that Celia acknowledged him for his skills in fighting, and it had been a long while since he'd had a reason to train, so he was glad to get back to it. As for the members he would be training, he truthfully wasn't too sure about the extent that they had ever fought before. He knew Elora likely wasn't going to know much about offensive fighting, but she regularly had to avoid conflict or defend herself against other tribe members, so in his eyes she still had potential. Marnie seemed very edgy and paranoid, so much so that Macbeth was a little concerned about training. Teamwork was essential in battle, and if she couldn't trust other members it would be very difficult to train her. Yet despite the fact that he'd never heard the cat speak, she seemed to be very in tune with her senses. Jupiter and Jade, father and daughter, seemed to be a bit of a difficult pair as Jupiter was fiercely protective and yet Jade seemed rather stubborn and rebellious.
With a heavy but refreshing breath, Macbeth hopped off his perch on the top of an old, rusted car and padded through the warm sand, towards the center of the beach. He had been observing Marnie for some time, not sure whether or not she was aware of his presence, and decided to make himself known if she had not. He approached slowly but steadily as to not provoke her. Elora was seated in the sand not too far off, and as he neared them Macbeth spoke a simple but polite greeting.
"Hello, both of you," He began, nodding to both the cat and the dog. He looked to Marnie, "There's no reason to be so cautious, we'll wait until everyone's here before beginning training."
Resting on his haunches, the eager cat scanned their vicinity to see if anyone else was in view yet. He sighed softly, but decided to not fuss. Mac's ears swiveled continuously at different sounds, remaining aware of his surroundings as he pondered. It was obvious that group dynamic training was somewhat out of the question for the time being, so he figured he would take a more direct approach. Perhaps it would be wise to pit reasonable opponents against each other, to see their different fighting tactics and behaviors, enabling him to better assess their abilities. Figuring out who to pair with who was a little frustrating, considering how different each of them seemed to be and also the fact that Macbeth knew very little about how they could fight. However, once everyone had arrived it would be easier to get started. Until then, Mac flicked his tail from side to side and watched the waves lick the sand, hoping he was capable of training such a hodge-podge group.

Jade was bustling with excitement. There were no ifs ands or buts about it - today she was going to prove her worth as a fighter. Sure, she was still a kitten, but she was big, strong, and able for five months old. Part of it could easily be attributed to her breed - Maine Coons were large after all, so she could easily show those Tempest canines the old one-two! Fur fluffed out in excitement, she had to restrain herself from bounding ahead of her father, Jupiter, to meet the rag-tag group that would be teaching them. She spied only three of them, but only really knew Macbeth by name. She liked the Caracal a whole hell of a lot better than her father. Then again, she was pretty sure even the grumpiest of creatures in Hexasol would pay more attention to her than Jupiter.
Speaking of, her father insisted that she only sit and watch today. That she would have no part in this battle... But screw that! She was going to run headfirst, like a hero, and scratch the eyes right out of those bloodlusting canines! To be honest, she hadn't met too many dogs in her life. Just the few that remained in Lexis... and they were plenty nice to her most of the time. It had her questioning whether this battle was worth the effort...
Well, she had heard plenty of horror stories about Brooke and her pack of meanies.
Eyes turning wide as saucers at the thought of big, gaping dog jaws, Jade stumbled a little as she walked. No! That wouldn't do. She had to be perfect today. She had to be perfect and fearless and then maybe her dad would give her the light of day, talk to her, or better yet, praise her for her strength.

Ah, shit, Jupiter was the worst to ask about how to fight... Reluctantly, the male coon crept forward into the small ring of Lexis members, his head down as he slipped into its ranks. Fighting, peh. What were they, the newest version of the Iris? Weren't they supposed to want peace? How could one fight for peace with more violence? It was funny how Macbeth was even attempting to train this sorry bunch for defeating the Tempest pack... did they even really have a chance, even with training? It was like decorating shit with flower petals. Shit was shit.
The pessimistic creature looked forward, giving a sidelong glance to his daughter when she wasn't looking. He was just as self-centered as the rest... He twitched a little, his mind returning to times when he and P- no. Damnit. His eyes darted to Macbeth, trying to hold strong, though his posture was already deflated. Sighing a little, he didn't bother looking at Jade as he spoke. "I-I told you to just watch today... t-the last thing you need is a broken limb, Jade," he muttered to her, his light nervous tic starting to manifest again. Pearl was the only one who kept that tic at bay...
He couldn't bare looking Jade in the eye again. The last thing he wanted was to see harm come to her... yet he knew she thought he didn't see her at all. Did he? Even he wasn't sure... he was too clouded by his own grief and his withdrawl from... he couldn't even tell if it was the old catnip addiction resurfacing or his need for Pearl. Shaking his head, he made sure to take a few quicker and longer strides to keep ahead of Jade. He'd block her with his own body if he had to, she was not going to be battling. Macbeth was in sight, and Jupiter looked over at him, giving him a flick of his tail and a slight nod but otherwise keeping silent.

The numbers of the group were, slowly but surely, increasing. The one Marnie had heard approaching was one of the outcasts, Elora. The wild cat hadn't heard the details of what happened to make the dog the tribe's scapegoat but, you certainly couldn't trust her with your life. Elora had already proven herself to be a traitor, maybe she would be killed in the battle. One less monster in the world.
Next to finally arrive was Macbeth. 'Took him long enough.' Marnie thought to herself as she turned her wary gaze to the groups' leader. Marnie resisted the urge to slash him across the face. The reason? Maybe just for making them wait and not apologizing. He spoke to Marnie once he approached the dog and wildcat.
"There's no reason to be so cautious, we'll wait until everyone's here before beginning training."
A suspicious look appeared on her face as he said this. Sure, that's just what they would want, being off guard is how she ended up in the Lexis tribe in the first place. The only reason Marnie was still here is because the tribe claimed to want peace. Why did Macbeth seem so keen on speaking to her anyway.
Finally the last two fellow trainee's arrived, the over protective father and his daughter. Jade was only a five month old kitten, not really much of a threat, it was the father Marnie was worried about. Jupiter most likely didn't want to risk losing his only daughter, what exactly would he do to make sure he didn't.
Marnie silently watched the group, waiting to see what would happen.

Elora watched as Macbeth made his way onto the beach. She tensed in anticipation, wondering what he may ask for them to do. She eyed Marnie warily. She didn't look happy. Her haunted eyes made Elora shiver. When Macbeth spoke, Elora relaxed a fraction. They wouldn't be fighting yet. Sighing, she gazed out at the choppy ocean. Although the temperature was warm, the waters were rough and unforgiving. Elora suddenly heard the pawsteps of the final two felines. She watched the small kitten bound over to them. Elora wondered what on Earth Jade thought of Elora. Whether she held the same low opinion of her, just as everyone else did. Or did she form her own opinion? Elora hoped so. Swallowing, she watched Jade's father trail after her. She was strict and protective of Jade, but Elora could understand that. She briefly thought of her own puppies, before quickly blinking painfully. They were gone, and that was the end of it.
"Looks like that's all of us," Elora spoke quietly, conscious that most didn't appreciate her speaking in any situation. She still regretted talking at the meeting. She didn't deserve to show her own opinions. She was a traitor, treated like scum. Elora just hoped she'd made a difference at the battle with the Tempest Pack. She hadn't killed much, and she dreaded the thought of murdering another canine. They were kin, in a way. But they were terrible, plagued creatures, who thought only about themselves. Elora wanted peace in Hexasol, whilst the Tempest dogs were bloodthirsty beasts who craved death and murder throughout the city.
"What will you be teaching us?" She spoke up, questioning Macbeth directly. The other felines knew very little about fighting. Elora side-glanced Marnie, wondering whether she knew anything about the art of fighting. She remained so silent that nobody knew what she was capable of. Elora then gazed over at the father and daughter. She couldn't imagine Jupiter knew much. She wondered how beneficial he'd be in battle. Granted, Maine Coons were the largest domestic feline, but they were still small. He'd have to be careful. Elora sighed, hoping they would beat The Tempest Pack.
