TYRANUS
13 - Male - Feline - Siberian Tiger - Lexis Tribe - Council & Protection Leader
Personality: Tyranus for the most part is very misunderstood. Despite his monderous physique and appearance, he is not that monsterous in personality.
He is a well educated cat, smart with the ability to talk very eloquently and deeply. He is well aware of his surroundings and is capable of reading others' expressions and body language well. He's well aware of other's perception of him which often leaves him disheartened. He has never meant to come across as frightening and is always looking out for friends but rarely finds any which often leads him down, wallowing in his own pity. But never usually for long. Whenever he is down, he does his best to pick himself back up and appear cheery, looking on the brightside even if he is secretly really hurting about his inability to be accepted and his past.
Most things don't bother him and he tries to take things on the chin and just accept things as they are but Tyranus dislikes being tormented and wound up about his looks and though he hates being stereotyped for his appearance, he can give into this and be as dangerous as his apperance suggested if pressured into it. In a fury of rage and anger, Tyranus is a most deadly cat and even a single swipe could be lethal. As much as it pains him to do this, he feels it necessary sometimes especially if others are angry, rude and judging towards him which he just can't accept and doesn't usually feel sorry or remorseful for anything he does in this state. He's level headed in battle, willing to make sacrifices for the greater good.
Appearance: Tyranus's appearance is striking from the offset. He takes being the largest species of big cat to the extreme and is probably an example of the largest of his species. He measures almost 340cm in length, with his tail being almost 1m of that At the shoulder, he stands approximately 115cm. His body is ripped; intensely muscular and weighing in at almost 320kg. It doesn't take much more than a single glance to recognise he's a powerful killing machine.
In other respects, he's not any different to any other siberian tiger. His fur is a light orange in colour, lighter than most other tigers. This orange lightens out around the under belly and also becomes increasingly light around thew scruff of the neck. The white fur is evident on his face, with white circles of fur around his eyes and on his muzzle; contrasting to his rosy pink nose. As it reaches the end, his tail begins to lighten until it is almost white at the tip. His stripes are a typical matt black in colour. The pattern is quite prominent around his face and down his back, but it thins out around his neck and tail.
History: The early spring of 7 years ago brought a great stir to Hexasol city. The birth of any endangered animal always brought attention and media flocked to the city to see the birth of the Siberian Tiger cubs. Two were born that year to the tiger couple; in their first captive breeding since they were brought to the zoo about a decade before. Both twins were interesting in their own right. The first, Atlas, was a snow white in colour, with piercing blue eyes. The next, Tyranus, was a monster in size and strength.
Life in Hexasol zoo was good. Food supplied regularly and a comfy bed was all that he needed to be happy. In the next three years, Tyranus grew tenfold. Easily overtaking his father and brother in size, earning him a claim as possibly one of the largest tigers of his species in captivity. People would come from far and wide to see him and his exhibit easily attracted hundreds of people a day. Thats where the problems began.
His enclosure was a sunken bit, connected to an underground cave with indoor viewing area. The walls were high and surrounded by high fences and bars. Despite this, one day, a young boy, maybe no more than nine or ten had climbed up and over the bars. Slipping on the metal, he fell into the tiger enclosure. Miraculously, the boy survived the fall. People were screaming as the tiger advanced on the boy.
He hadn't meant to harm the boy. Infact he had trying to save him. But the almost half tonne tiger was too strong, killing the boy in his jaws as he tried to pick him up. Tyranus was taken out of public viewing, held in quarantine until it could be decided what to do with him. The decision had been made to destroy the tiger. Luckily for him, the human population had been struck by a deadly disease, wiping out their population before they could put him down. The quarantine cage proved no challenge and he easily escaped. As the humans died out, he joined the Lexis Tribe after living as a loner for a few years, that was beginning to form in the abandoned city. His mission to recruit new members took him far from the city and he's only now returned to the tribe in the thick of the war between the Iris Pride and Tempest Clan.
