It was early morning, the sun just barely beginning to blend from bare able to hot. Many would normally rejoice at this season, the season of summer. No long dreadful winters. No long dreadful rain storms. But for a cat whose fur always added installation, this was his least favorite part of the year. He found he needed water quite often, which meant his huntings or explorations always had to stay within a certain area. Except today. Today, the male knew where he was going whether there was water there or not. Grizzly had spent so long in that cave with Nutmeg, he'd lost count on how many months they'd been there since he showed up; but he knew it was quite a few. Things had become more bare able now, like the fact that Nutmeg no longer despised him for speaking of adventures or that he was pretty sure he'd convinced her that dying was by no means the best thing. He was glad that he wasn't alone anymore. Nutmeg made him feel better about himself, yet he still felt like something was missing. Lately, Nutmeg had been acting strange and barely talking to him but for some reason, he knew that wasn't what was causing him to feel so empty.
Back when he'd been traveling alone, he always came back to one place. One place that gave him a fresh perspective on life when perhaps he wasn't too sure about things anymore. This place, was the Hexasol Castle. In one of the very top towers, he'd once made himself a comfy bed and he'd made a make shift water bowl, plus a section where he'd hide his food supply. The whole castle was extraordinarily beautiful, even breath taking. Though dust collected through out the halls, once you looked past that, it was a wonderful place to live. He was surprised that other animals didn't often just live here. He could imagine staying here for years, well, maybe. To him, the castle meant adventure because there were always new rooms to explore and add to the mental map. One problem was that in the summer, certain rooms had little to no ventilation. Which is why he chose a tower with a huge window, so that the wind could blow in and he could lay down on the cold stone and feel refreshed. Yes, he'd made a good decision visiting here today.
After jumping through an open window, Grizzly slowly scanned the room before beginning his path through the hall. Walk straight through the hall, the fifth room on the left, walk through the door on the right within the room, walk through the huge closet, on the right almost in a nook; follow the steps. Once he followed the steps, then it lead off to a spiral staircase all the way up to another room which then had another spiral staircase. There, after much walking, having to remind himself of which way to go, he'd reached his destination. His get away tower. No gray, except for the stone that was the tower's floor. Grizzly stretched out, letting out a big yawn before he went over to the window. His blanket had been messed up but it was still by the window. For now, he'd stay here and just rest. Nutmeg could handle if he came home a little late. He just needed some time.
