(You can either have your characters meet him for the first time and he tells them about the gang or say some loners know he's looking for Lexis survivors)It's been two or three days since he left and betrayed the Iris pride. The young snow leopard wondered if it would have made a difference if he had just left and done something later.
Virgil, at first, just left his former pride after witnessing cats and dogs being slaughtered. He couldn't get the image of Lexis cats and dogs running for their lives only to be ambushed and mercilessly killed. After running from that scene and leaving the pride, he met a wolf named Orion. Virgil knew he was from the Tempest pack, who he now felt nothing but contempt for, but the snow leopard was under the impression that he wanted the war to end too.
The prisoners were released but, it wasn't until Virgil was caught and abandoned that he realized that he was just being used. Virgil tried to stab the Iris pride in the back only to be betrayed himself. Luckily Virgil wasn't kept prisoner himself but, as long as the image of those poor unfortunate Lexis cats and dogs being given no chance of survival he couldn't just leave the city like nothing was wrong.
He had heard that there were some Lexis members that were lucky enough to escape. Maybe he would be able to find at least one of them. If they were more willing to fight now Virgil could help them get revenge on the ones who tore their peaceful family apart.
He had made his way to the top floor of the church and climbed up on the roof. He was looking in the direction of where Lexis territory was supposed to be. Virgil had looked there earlier that day, hoping to find some former Lexis taking shelter in their old home. It was empty now, he wondered what would happen to it now. Maybe the two remaining packs would try to claim them, or maybe some of the loners would use them for shelter.
Virgil stood on the roof of the church, staring ahead of him before carefully crawling into a nearby window and back in the church. He slowly made his way to the first floor, thinking of what he could do.

The air in the church was stale, heavy with moisture due to the constant downpour these last few days. The clouds had finally dissolved earlier that day, but the whole world had yet to dry. Sky's otherwise impeccable coat was streaked with dust and dirt, and her eyes shone like cold amber orbs in a hungry face. Shallow wounds ran across her body and she walked with a limp on her right hind leg, all evidence of the battle she had participated in. She looked like someone who had been through hell and back... and in some ways, she had. Since the Lexis Tribe had been slaughtered like cattle she had been thrown into life of the refugee. She had no home, no food, no family. After the battle she had returned to the junkyard in search of her father and potential shelter, but the only things she had found were corpses. Members of the Iris and the Tempest pack had raided the grounds, killing or capturing all members they could get a hold of. After that the looters had come - loners that snuck from shadow to shadow, descending on her former home like scavengers in search of hidden stashes of food or other goods. She had been chased from the territory by a pack of Tempest soldiers, and exhausted she had sought shelter on the backseat of an abandoned car.
There she had stayed in her rusty home, licking her wounds, leaving it only when the hunger for food or news overwhelmed her. From a couple of stray dogs who had found a home in a van on the edge of the Car Park, she first heard of the snow leopard that had been expelled from Iris Pride for freeing prisoners. He was looking for Lexis members, they said. Wanted to take down Tempest and Iris, they said. You could find him in the church, they said.
She had entertained the idea that it might be a trap to lure in former Lexis members and slaughter them all in one convenient location. But in the end she had not been able to keep her paws from steering her towards the church. Her gaze flickered around inside the humongous building, up to the tall ceiling and back down to the broken tiles. Her nostrils vibrated - there was indeed the lingering scent of a large feline. A feline who still reeked of Iris. "Hello?" she called out. Even though her voice had been soft it still reverberated between the naked walls of the church, and the sound thrown back at her was the only thing that broke the silence. She continued onwards, making her way deeper into the hall of the church.

"Speech."
It’d been about a week since Lexis had been eliminated. She knew she was truly lucky to be alive, to have escaped the chaos, but right now she wasn’t feeling lucky at all. She still hadn’t found the scent of anyone she knew… could it really be that she was the only survivor? The thought sickened her just as much as it had every single day in the last week. The thought haunted her. She didn’t want to leave Hexasol, but did she have a choice? Tempest would kill her, Iris would try to enlist her… or probably kill her if she refused to join them. She felt terribly lonely, all she wanted was to meet a friendly face. Or at least find someone who wanted her company. Crystal wasn’t used to live on her own and even though she hadn’t been alone for long, she was already losing weight. More than once she’d been found by Tempest dogs who’d tried to hunt her down, and if not that, she’d encountered fierce loners who wanted to steal her kills, and when they banded together she seldom stood a chance since she still hadn’t fully recovered after the battle.
She was nothing like the princess she’d used to be. Her fur was left untended by her rough tongue, thereby leaving it to collect dirt without she even cared. She’d stopped caring about it ever since she’d run from the battle. But it wasn’t the only thing about her. Scars were visible on her legs, shoulders and flanks, the marks of battle still not hidden by thick fur. Her fur would soon cover them though… if she was even ‘permitted’ to live for so long. It wasn’t just her looks though which had been influenced by the terror of losing everyone she knew. Crystal’s personality had grown awfully bitter, depression threatening to overwhelm her if she didn’t mentally shove it away with an angry sneer. Of course she could take care of herself. Of course she wasn’t the only one. Of course she would soon find someone. Of course she would get revenge over the Tempest Pack and Iris Pride.
Spending most of the time outside of the city to just get a little bit of peace from the bloodthirsty canines and felines, Crystal only went into the city in the late hours, still hoping to catch the scent of someone she knew. And today, though she couldn’t believe it at first, she was lucky. Eyes flickering in a confused manner, Crystal looked in every direction to see if she could see the feline she’d caught the scent of. A moment ago she’d felt tired and hungry, but those things were completely forgotten now. There was hope. Or… did she dare to hope now? Wouldn’t the chances of disappointment be too great? Probably, but there was no way she was leaving this trail unexamined. Increasing her steps, the young snow leopard padded through the streets, her whole body tense as she stalked through the city as the sun slowly was setting in the horizon. An unfriendly creature could lure behind every corner, and she wouldn’t want to be caught unguarded. Her size was great in battle, but when wanting to be invisible, it certainly wasn’t an advantage… this past week, Crystal had more than ever wished to be a domestic cat, a sleek feline who could cover and hide wherever it should be so she wouldn’t be found.
The trail led her to the little, old church. Crystal halted outside its graveyard, carefully listening if something could be heard. Nothing yet… the trail was as fresh as it could be though, she wasn’t just imagining things. Lowering her body to the ground, Crystal stalked through the graveyard. A few meters before she reached the door, she heard a familiar voice ringing inside the church. ”Pst, Sky. Over here!” she called with a whisper as she reached the door, remembering the lynx’ name as soon as she’d heard her voice. The two felines had never really been what you could call friends, but still Crystal couldn’t help but being happy to see the silhouette of her fellow tribe member. She wasn’t the only one after all. With a relieved sigh, Crystal straightened up to stand normally and walked into the church, a little, almost shy smile resting on her lips. The light inside the church was dim, but she didn’t have to look for long before realizing that Sky wasn’t in any better state than herself. ”You have no idea how glad I am to see you! Where have you been? What are you doing here?” Though she wasn’t covering anymore, she still kept her voice low. Though they were two, they were still vulnerable, and Sky had probably called out before for a reason. A reason Crystal now realized as well. An Iris feline? She wrinkled her nose in distaste. What was going on here? Were they lured into a trap? Couldn’t be. She could only catch the scent of a single male, a snow leopard younger than herself. But though he perhaps wasn’t a threat to them, she still disliked anything Iris.

He could hear a voice calling out for someone when he started toward the door. It was probably just a loner who was exploring and caught his scent. Or it could be a Lexis member he was looking for. Virgil slowed his pace as he made his way toward the source. Some of the loners knew the young snow leopard was looking for Lexis survivors after he had been kicked out of Iris but, he thought he had to be cautious. If any of his old 'friends' found out he was looking for survivors they might get curious and try to find out why. If he wanted to try and end this war he would have to be careful.
Virgil rested for a day after causing the incident in the Iris pride. After that he began searching for anyone who might be interested in joining him. He asked some of the loners, who turned out to have no interest in fighting at all. Some were kind enough to say they would inform and former Lexis they came across, he just hoped the more hostile ones didn't go to Iris or Tempest.
He could hear a second voice as he neared the stairs leading to the first floor. There were only two females here, he was hoping others would arrive and at least listen to what he had to say.
The two females soon came into view as he descended the stairs. One was a lynx, the other was another snow leopard, which surprised him a little. He would have thought that the other snow leopard was one of his long lost siblings if he hadn't noticed that they were both much older than himself. He had only recently turned a year old, hopefully they would take him seriously.
"Good evening ladies." He said as he approached them and politely bowed his head. He stopped a short distance away from them, he noticed the look on the snow leopard females face. He didn't blame the female for, no doubt, not trusting him and thinking he was a threat. Hopefully she would notice that there were no other Iris scents here. Even if this was some kind of trap, Virgil had little confidence that he could take two opponents at once. He sat down on his haunches and wrapped his tail around his paws.
"I could hear someone calling out earlier, were you looking for someone?"

"Speech" Amos trotted along in his merry little manner, following the fluttering red butterfly that flew just above his nose. He'd been tracking the pretty insect for a while now and was quite simply fascinated by it's vibrant colours and beautiful dancing. If only he could be that dainty and attractive, maybe then people would want to be friends with him? For three years he had resided in Hexasol and every single one of those years he had spent alone. Of course he bumped into cats, dogs, all sorts but he found that they mostly avoided him after spending a couple of days in his company. Amos tried to be quiet, he tried to act normal but in the end his insane curiosity and vitality for life shone through. It scared people off or annoyed - or both, who knew. The calico-mix had known one friend and that was Chell but in the end she too left him for no apparent reason. He missed her proper speech and her clever mind, the tabby always seemed to know the answer to his endless stream of questions.
It was as he neared the cemetery gate that he heard voices from inside the old, stone building. His dark ears pricked excitedly and Amos turned now to look into the church itself. His vibrant blue eyes picked up the spotted tail of what seemed to be a silver leopard of some kind but other than that his view was obscured by the half-closed door. Without a second thought, the ex-lexis fellow trotted straight up the path and poked his head in. The sight was quite one to behold: three rather large cats conversing in such close proximity made his fur tingle in excitement. He could smell a familiar scent on the two females but the larger male, who stood apart from them, smelled very strange indeed. Amos pushed his tubby, soft body through the door and stepped out behind the tawny legs of the lynx. He wondered what on earth they were talking about, and his inquisitiveness set in immediately. "Hey I'm Amos. What are you guys doing in here the weather is lovely outside, nice to meet you by the way. What are you're names, did I say mine? It's Amos"
He grinned, before closing the gap between he and the lynx; leaning up to touch her nose in greeting, then over to the female snow leopard and finally turning to trot over to the male leopard. There he began to purr and his luminous eyes glowed with happiness at the unexpected company, his tail curling over his back. Amos hoped with all his heart that they would not hurt him, but most of all that they would not hate him.
OOC: Yeah, he's not the brightest tool in the shed <3

The female lynx had taken but a few steps, when the silence of the church was broken by an urgent whisper. Sky whirled around, pupils dilating as her gaze sought the outline of the large feline standing in the doorway. "Crystal!" she exclaimed, relief written in her features as she bolted through the church. She reached the larger feline and didn't stop moving forward until her body brushed against Crystal's. She nuzzled at the larger feline's neck, a rare purr reverberating in her throat. They may not have been close, but Crystal was the first Lexis member Sky had seen since the battle. Despite her dirty coat and barely-healed wounds, there was only one thought rushing through Sky's body: I'm not alone! After a few moments she withdrew and shook her body to compose herself. She sat down on her haunches and looked Crystal over with a slightly perplexed expression, slightly embarrassed at having revealed the strong emotions coursing through her body. "I'm glad to see you're alive." Her gaze flickered across Crystal's battered body. "Even if you look the worse for wear. To answer your question: Since the battle I've been hiding out in a rusted car in the Car Park, near our headquarters..." a pang of pain briefly twisted her features before she composed herself. "Near former Lexis territory. A couple of loners found pity in their hearts, and passed on to me a rumour of a snow leopard hiding out in the church. An exile who wants to bring down the packs and prides. They said he was looking for former Lexis members. Said I might find some friends here... if any of them remained." She concluded her story with a shy little smile. "I'm glad to see at least one of them does."She had barely finished her tale before a voice rang through the room. Crystal's appearance had shaken Sky to the point where she had not even heard his soft paws on the broken tiles. Her amber eyes narrowed with distrust as she looked the newcomer up and down. He was younger than she had expected - had he even seen two winters? Was this really the one they had talked about? But there couldn't be that many snow leopards in Hexasol. It was already a rarity that she was in the same room as two. "I was looking for an exile. Word on the street says he's trying to gather Lexis members in the old church. You trying to finish the job your pride started, kiddo? You think they'll let you back into the family if you deliver the last Lexis survivors right on their doorstep?" She sensed movement behind her and looked over her shoulder in time to see a black'n'white cat... smile at her. The tawny lynx could nothing but stare at the cat in amazement, as he jumped into the conversation like it was as natural as breathing. The cat moved towards her in an attempt to touch noses, but Sky withdrew as her breath hissed through her clenched teeth, batting a paw at the male in an attempt to get him away from her. She watched the creature with annoyance as it settled next to the male snow leopard. "One of yours?" she asked the leopard, venom dripping from her voice as she tilted her head and starred at the unnervingly blissful cat. It's 3 am and I'm drop dead tired, so this post is most likely not the best I've ever produced. But it's there!

"Speech."
The female lynx exclaimed her name in relief and ran to her. At first Crystal was surprised by the fact that Sky didn’t stop before she got close enough to caress her cheeks against her own thick coat, but she quickly relaxed in her body, taking in Sky’s embrace with a deep purr. They were both happy to see each other, happy to know that they weren’t alone anymore. The hard circumstances had in a peculiar way erased the fact that they never had been close friends. Greeting each other like this felt so… natural.
After a few moments the female lynx took a few steps back, explaining where she’d been up until now and what had made her go to this place. ”I guess we’ve both seen better days,” she replied with a wry smile, then frowning at the information about the snow leopard who wanted to take down both Tempest and Iris. ”I have strayed in the outskirts of the city, so no rumours like that has reached my ears. I’m glad I found your tracks...” she trailed off, not certain what she should think of Sky’s words. Lexis had tried to take down Tempest and failed miserably. Would it be a good idea to fight both packs at the same time? Of course it needed much different strategy, but to be honest, Crystal wasn’t fond of more war. Are you sure? The tiny voice inside her mind made her reconsider. Perhaps this rumour which Sky had heard would be the beginning to something great, something that could perhaps give her the revenge she sought over Iris and Tempest alike. Maybe she should give it a chance before recoiling out of something she knew nothing of?
It was then an unknown voice reached her soft ears. Looking up, Crystal found a male snow leopard standing a few meters from Sky and her. He was younger than her and more importantly… he was the source of the faint stench of Iris which she’d sensed earlier. ”Exile, my big, fat, fluffy ass,” she exclaimed harshly after Sky had replied at the male’s question. ”This dude is just trying to put us up the way Celia did. He’ll stab us right in the chest while we’re looking over our shoulder for pursuers.” She shot ice daggers in the male leopard’s direction, not liking how nonchalant he seemed. It made her doubt her gut. He seemed sophisticated, relaxed yet nervous for their judgement. All three of them knew immediately that there were no back-ups if they should choose to attack him. And surely the Iris Pride wouldn’t sacrifice a big cat, a feline who could be a furious fighter, just to get a few hungered Lexis survivors? The Iris Pride couldn’t in any way think they could use the same trick twice? Celia had, with no Iris scent, had an easy time walking in, but this was different… No Crystal, you have to stay focused, you can’t just trust him like that.
A chirpy voice made her perk up her ears in surprise, the sound making her eyes wander to fall upon a two coloured tom. ”Can’t be - he’s not smelling anything like the leopard. Poor thing probably doesn’t even know what he’s doing…” she mumbled, caught off guard and not knowing what to do in this situation.

SpeakingThinking
Alice moved slowly and carefully getting closer to the old old church with every step she took. The feline was tired, hungry and depressed. Sadness, regret and fear burned deep inside her. The fear she will never see her pack mates, her friends again. They had to escape. I'm surely not the only survivor. I mustn't be. There were others, I saw them. But every day the doubt was bigger. She wasn't made for a loner's life and loneliness made her sick. She rotted inside. And her looks weren't pretty either. Her usually shinning fur was now messy and without any shine. She was underweight, she hasn't eaten for days. Her left ear was torn up and there was a long scar on her thigh. A once cheerfully cat was now just a ghost of what she used to be. Even her walking was different. Not so jumpy and quick as before, she was dragging her legs behind her, like every step she made pained her. But nothing was as hurt as her mind was. Pictures of battle were flashing before her eyes every now and then. Blood and chaos, total destruction. Her pack mates, the felines and canines she loved (some more or less) getting slayed one by one. The iron taste of blood in her mouth after she dig her teeth into one dog's neck. But nothing hurt as much as betrayal. Betrayal of Celia and betrayal of Violet, the one she saw with her very own eyes. Violet killed Alonso and she was killed almost immediately afterwards. Torn up by a black wolf. And right before Violet killed Alonso, Alice saw most of the Lexis Tribe pushed off a hill. That's when she panicked. And run. Survived. In these past days she thought about ending her life not only once. But she always stopped herself. She could die in a battle. But she didn't. She believed she survived with a reason. She slowly approached the old church's open gates. And that's when she heard voices-four to be exact. Only two she recognized, but that didn't matter. She didn't even care about the other two. Her heart started to beat faster. Her eyes wide opened. But she managed to control her excitement. What if she's mistaken those voices with somebody's else? Or worse, what if she started to hear things. She walked into the church and she quickly caught the smell of felines. Her steps accelerated. She jumped over wooden joist, that has fallen off. And thee they were. What some might consider a strange scene-one lynx, two snow leopards and one white and black domestic cat-Alice considered one of the happiest sight she ever saw. Words couldn't describe the train of emotions that hit her when she saw Crystal and Sky. Happiness, relief, joy-all these mixed together made her teary eyed. A big tear of happiness rolled down her cheek and she quickly wiped it off. "Crytsal, Sky!" she jumped and ran and stopped just before crashing into them. "I'm so happy to see you, I thought you were all dead." I should never doubt in them, in anybody from Lexis. she thought. But when the surprise and joy washed off she spun around to face the other two felines. "And who are you?" she asked while staring distrustfully at the two strangers in front of her.

He should have expected these kind of reactions from them. The lynx and snow leopard wasted no time in voicing their distrust and hatred toward him. It probably wouldn't have made much of a difference if he had washed the Iris scent from his fur. Despite knowing what happened to them, Virgil felt no sympathy for them. He was looking for willing members to join him, not two females to accuse him of setting some kind of trap.
They were joined by a third feline before he could speak, a male domestic cat this time. Virgil had a quirked brow and a slightly confused expression on his face as the male, Amos, spoke quickly and introduced himself. For some reason the lynx seemed to get angrier that this stranger was here. Even though it was obvious that Amos didn't know who any of them were.
They were soon joined by another domestic cat, another female that knew the lynx and snow leopard. Of course, she was distrustful of him too. Great, just great. Instead of just recruiting members he had to deal with three bitches and. Virgil looked down at the only other male in the small group. If none of them accepted his offer, which he wouldn't be surprised if they didn't, he would just move on and search for others. It wasn't just Lexis survivors he was looking for anyway. And, if it was just him, He would do whatever he could to fight against the remaining packs.
"My name is Virgil. I was part of the Iris pride once but, after killing some of the guards and releasing the prisoners they had there, I was exiled." He paused, giving them a chance to make a comment or reply.
"I started looking for Lexis survivors because I though some of you would be more interested in revenge. I asked some of the loners in the city too, not just Lexis." He said this to, at least, get them to think, if not try to gain their trust. "If I was still part of that so called 'family' I would have come with others; you would have been attacked by now. I'm just looking for anyone who might be willing to join me and sabotage both Tempest and Iris."

"Speech" He felt a little confused as the tension in the atmosphere tightened tenfold, and this caused him to stop and stare at the fierce lynx that spat at him. Amos blinked twice, before smiling kindly, maybe she just got out the wrong side of the bed today. Everyone had those kind of moods didn't they? Well, the domestic cat never really felt irritated by things. What as there to be annoyed about? Life was spectacular and he was privileged to even be alive when he thought about it. The only sadness Amos experienced was that he could not share this wonderful world with anyone else! His parents certainly hadn't wanted to spend any more time than necessary with their boisterous, rambunctious son...
Amos could hear them talking about him but to be honest it all washed over his head, no all he cared about was the fact that he had some company. The black and white tomcat wriggled his rotund body in a delighted fashion, a grin growing on his mischievous face. Suddenly another domestic feline, who apparently knew the two larger females, burst into the cool church and began chatting excitedly to them. Could this get any better? When the attractive grey queen addressed Amos, he burst into life. With one bound he attempted to leap down the steps to greet her warmly but found himself tripping over his clumsy limbs and flailing them into the air, as his body rolled over itself. The young cat found himself in a heap at the snow leopard's paws and shook his head sorely. "Whoopsie!"
Dusting himself off and shimmying away from the cat named Crystal, he looked at the new Russian Blue. "I'm Amos, I used ta' be part of Lexis but my parents kicked me out because apparently I was too noisy or summat'." A fluttering sound in the rafters above caught the scruffy tom's attention and he spied a family of sparrows dancing above. What graceful creatures they were. Once again the other male leopard spoke, introducing himself as Virgil before continuing on to explain his story. It was all very confusing for Amos and though he tried to understand what they were talking about, he gave up soon after. What did it matter anyway, he was simply happy that he had something to keep him entertained for the afternoon.

Watch my moves! Read my mind! "Hear my voice!"
You can hide your demons from everyone else, but you can never hide from your demons yourself. The thought slowly faded into Course's mind and mocked him. What was that? A haiku? Was he supposed to feel like he'd learned his lesson now? What was he thinking? One clear thought pushing its way up from the onslaught of death and decay ravaging his mind's eye for days, and he's supposed to soothe himself? No. This was no small lesson. This was whatever he wielded it to be. A challenge, a curse, a sign, a taunting, a stab in the back by the hate encrusted circle of life.
You vanished, you left, you DESERTED them! And so came the next round of imagery. Dogs, cats, even small creatures of the land caught in the cross fangs of the massacre. Lexis was no more. It was his fault, and no one else. He was meant to lead, he was meant to protect. He did neither, and now all of the tribe suffered.
"So what did you accomplish, you bastard? Some clarity, some higher calling? Did you find yourself out there? Nope. Nothing. Just a bunch of trees. Look what it earned you, a lake of blood."
The male lion stalked his way along the street, and stopped almost out of a slow reaction to habit when he heard voices from inside. Course lowered his head for a listen, and soon after let out a low sigh, almost like a growl of fatigue. Survivors, a rebellion... Lexis reborn? So soon? Had the felines in that church even stopped to grieve? No. Of course not, grieving only halts progress. Course had taken his time to grieve, among other things, look where it had gotten him. I should walk away. I should leave them to it, they've earned freedom from my failure. I should ... I will. He didn't.
The male lion slowly pushed aside the great creaking door of the church, and let himself into the fray. It was sure to be a fray sooner or later, right? Walking down the length of the church aisle, Course refused to let any thoughts enter his mind. Why try to be a leader? Why try not to be? I suppose you could say he decided to be ... himself. He had found naivety, it seemed. And so he reached the end of the aisle, found himself a place to sit whereas not to crowd the rest of the gathering. Gave them all a respectably long glance, and spoke.
"Hello everyone, my name is Course."

"Speech."
She heard the sound of someone approaching, but even before she could muse about how the male snow leopard probably had set them up in an ambush, her piercing grey eyes lit up to a crystal shine. She immediately recognized the grey she-cat, recognized her relived shout as she saw her and Sky. Crystal knew all too well how she felt. ”Alice!” she called back, almost laughing. She couldn’t believe it. Here she’d been walking for days, losing her mind because she thought she’d be alone forever and now, within a few minutes, two females from the lost tribe were standing before her. Exhausted… hungry… but alive. And that was the most important.
”I’d never thought I’d see any of you again,” she mumbled as Alice came to join them, crashing into both Sky and her in a warm greeting. Crystal had never been close to any of them, but loneliness and fear after the battle made it feel like they were more tightly knitted together than ever. It’d been days since the battle… Still, when she closed her eyes, she could hear them screaming, see them dying. What wouldn’t she do it prevent that from ever happening again? It was then, as if on cue, that the male reflection of her introduced himself and told them what he intended to do. Crystal swallowed hard, wondering for a moment what would be the right thing to do. ”Fine,” she then said, trying to suppress a sneer. ”Let’s see where we can go with this.” She took a few steps forward to look Virgil right in the eye, lowering her voice slightly. ”You’ve no idea how thirsty I am for revenge. If you somehow can quench that thirst, even the slightest… I’m in,” she nodded slowly a single time as if to emphasize her words. If Virgil really was an exile from Iris, he might know at least something about the pride, however young he was. And knowing the least would be valuable to them if they were to sabotage both Iris and Tempest. Perhaps they could make a difference… not by marching mindlessly into enemy territory as they’d done it last time – but in the shadows. She was a big cat, and white, but winter was closing in on them, and she was nimbler than any other big cat breed. Frost and cold was her element, and she could do a fine back-up should it come to fighting.
”So, what are you planning big guy?” she asked with a tilted head, looking Virgil up and down. She didn’t know if she had Sky or Alice’s support in this, but if she had, they could always take him down if he should prove to but nothing but a trickster. She might be a female, but she was at least twice Virgil’s age… Working together, they would be able to take him. But he didn’t smell much like Iris, so at least for now none of them could be nearby. She looked down on the black and white tom who’d introduced himself as Amos, giving him half a smile – if not because she thought he was cute, then out of pity. He really had no idea of what was happening, had he? ”You said you were Lexis, huh? Then I suppose you’re one of us little one,” she said, trying to find a grin. But nothing more did she get to say before a bigger shadow loomed into the church. Crystal’s fur rose on her body and she felt her muscles tense. Lion, a voice hissed inside her mind. But the tension soon vanquished, the male lion introduced himself as Course… Course… ”Course!” Her voice was full of surprise as she suddenly recognized the son of Streiter, their old leader who’d suddenly disappeared. Crystal felt her maw drop to the floor, what was he doing here? Had he been alive all the time? Something inside her made her want to knock him down to the floor, scratching and biting him, blaming him for all that had happened. Another side of her wanted to throw herself at him, nuzzling his mane and fluffy cheeks, telling him how happy she was to see him again, hoping he’d make everything all right again.
But none of them happened.
”Where have you been!?” she screamed, her voice high-pitched and echoing in the church. Bats screeched and flapped their wings to get outside. But she didn’t care. She suddenly felt very weak, as if her legs refused to carry her. Her body shook and she sat down, panting. Everything suddenly seemed to crash inside her. What now? She’d thought he was dead, or had left for good, but now he was here. Virgil’s plans, Course’s reappearance. The battle… could it have been avoided had Course stayed? Could they all have been happy, all have been living? She felt on the brink of crying, but then realized she already did, eyes sore as silent teardrops slowly soaked her dirty fur. ”Where have you been?” she whispered, her voice low and shaky, not knowing if she even spoke loud enough for him to hear her anymore.

When a female voice rang through the air, Sky followed Crystal's gaze only to echo her outburst. "Alice!" she cried out, grinning as the Russian blue mix ran to them. The lynx lowered her head to bump noses with the little cat, who seemed as exhausted and battered as herself and Crystal. She briefly nuzzled the cat's head to give her a proper welcome. She watched Alice spin around to confront the other creatures in the church. Now the funny part was that she'd never been any close with the other two felines. She had rarely talked to Alice, and Crystal's narcissistic personality had always antagonized her from most of the other Lexis members. But here they stood the survivors of a tribe that had been annihilated, closer than they had ever been before. Shared horrors had created a bond between them that needed no words. Sky tried to swallow the lump in her throat, as she realized that these two felines were now the closest thing she had to a family. How had the world come to this? The female lynx fought her way out of the cloud of emotions that fogged her mind, and refocused her attention upon the snow leopard who had called them all here. She listened to his words, and nodded slowly. She was slow to trust, but she couldn't deny the sensibility in the things he said. "Iris and Tempest have brought nothing but pain and blood upon this city. Before they're done fighting there will only be ashes and ruins left of Hexasol. Someone has to stop them." Sky took a step forward and shared a look with Crystal who had just voiced her support. She nodded at the female snow leopard, before she turned her gaze back to Virgil. "I'm in."Suddenly the smell of lion wafted into the church. Sky heard Crystal hiss as she herself spun around to look at the church doors where a shape had just emerged. Her eyes followed the creature, and it took a moment for her brain to process the information it was given. Her eyes widened and she just stared as the lion entered the room and calmly situated himself amongst them. Course? Course?! What in the name of the Ancestors and all that was holy, was he doing here? She found herself speechless as she heard Crystal's outbreak, watched the proud snow leopard break down in front of everyone. In a daze her eyes slowly returned to the lion. She took one step forward, then two, and slowly she walked over to stand in front of Course, sniffing the air as if to make sure this was really their long-lost leader. Confusion subsided to make room for the anger that ran through her veins like a slow-working poison. Her eyes narrowed, and she barred her fangs. "How dare you show your face here? You left your Tribe, leaving it vulnerable to the kinds of Celia. You left us when we needed you the most. Now they're all dead. All of them. Torn to pieces or thrown off the edge of Tooth Cliff. How dare you show your face here?!" The last words she spit into his face, amber eyes flaring with anger and betrayal. He was at least three times her size, capable of striking her down with one swing of his large paw. But Sky couldn't care less. Her family was gone, her pack was gone, her friends were gone. At this moment the value of her life was so close to zero it made little difference to her should he choose to end it. Sorry the delay. I have no internet which makes posting difficult. I told Hunter to just skip Sky and post with Crystal. I figure that makes it Sanura's turn to post with Alice.

"Speech" Part of her still doubted that this was real. That she wasn't the only Lexis survivor. Part of her still believed that these were all just dreams. That kind of dreams you're afraid to wake up from, because you know reality could never compare to them. Alice smiled. She secretly pinched herself and welcomed the pain, that meant this whole thing was more than real. Crystal and Sky looked just as happy as her, if not even more, to see her. It was true, they haven't interacted much back in Lexis, but that didn't matter now. All that mattered was that they found each other. Blue russian mix slowly listened to snow leopard, that introduced himself as Virgil. Revenge? Alice would have been lying if she told them that she wasn't interested in revenge. She thought about it every day of her loner's life. And she came to one conclusion-she craved revenge. And, by the looks of them, Crystal and Sky did too. "Count me in," she simply said with smile drawn on her face.
Her attention quickly turned to black and white tom, that tripped over...himself? She critically watched him as he jumped on his feet looking quite enthusiastic and introduced to them as Amos of (well, actually used to be) Lexis. Alice cold eyes quickly warmed up at the male's attitude. He looked really happy, even though he seemed like he didn't understand their conversation fully. "Amos, hm? You said you were part of Lexis once? Well, welcome to the..." that's where Alice paused. Welcome to what exactly? A pride? The four felines were could hardly be called a 'group', let alone a 'pride' or 'pack'. ...family." she finally finished her sentence. She wasn' sure calling them a family was appropriate. Also, it was corny as hell. But that's what Alice felt like. They weren't related by blood. No, of course not. But there was something more between them, one could say there was a bond between them. They could understood how each other of them felt, because most feelings they had were mutual. They supported each other, they helped each other and they yelled at each other. Just like a real family. In short: they all hated the same shit. And that was enough.
Then she caught a smell of lion. She quickly spun on her feet to see, who interrupted them. And she saw somebody she thought will never saw again. "Course.." was the only thing she could mutter, before Crystal broke. She screamed and she hissed and she cried. Alice was quite shocked. She never saw Crystal cry. But the yelling didn't stop. Of course not. It was Sky's turn now to insult Course. She told him a few things, things that Alice agreed with and she looked furious. Her fur was ruffled and her white fangs were clearly visible.
Alice just sighed. After all this time. She felt betrayed. Her joy turned into rage and that she wanted to do was scratch his eyes out. She did her best to control herself. She won't yell at him like her friends did. She won't spend her precious breath for him. Instead, when Sky finished with her yelling, she slowly looked him in the eyes and sat down.
"Came to save Lexis, huh buddy? Well, you're too late."

Watch my moves! Read my mind! "Hear my voice!"
The reactions were so mixed it quite shocked Course. To be honest, he'd expected just short of complete indifference. He'd hardly had any time to really lead Lexis at any point anyhow, having left when he was so young, and yet these felines reacted as if he'd been Streiter himself back from the dead. Most would expect flattery, but something about it only served to assure Course of just how awful his desertion had truly been. Had he really had this much influence?
He realized, at the back of his mind, he'd been assuming that the loathing was purely coming from himself, almost hoping it was irrational. He was clearly wrong, and every ounce of it was well and truly deserved.
Course rose to his feet yet again and addressed both of the female felines in the room, whilst moving to assist what appeared to be a collapsing Crystal. As he let the female snow leopard lean against him, he turned to Sky. Pity filled his eyes as he saw all of the pain mixed with her hatred. "I show my face here because, as impossible as it is to believe, I'm even more unwanted in any other given place in Hexasol. There is no forgiving my desertion, there are no excuses, and they debt I owe can never be repaid. All I can do now, is serve, in any and every way I can, and merely hope that time, and perhaps a bit of revenge, can mend the wounds I've made."
After saying this, Course turned to gently nudge Crystal. "Are you ok, dear? I'm sorry to have shocked you," he said, and then gently stood as she seemed to regain her composure. Finally, he turned to face the other snow leopard in the room, the apparent leader of this discussion. "So, what exactly is afoot here? The past being what it is, you lot seemed to be quite keen on taking the future."
Watch my moves! Read my mind! Hear my voice!
The night dragged on as K9 wove his way through the streets of Hexasol, seeking any sign of life but finding not even a ghost. He'd been lucky, he just didn't know. His memories from days as a scavenger had naturally led him to Tempest lands, so it was through there that he wandered his way to Lexis. Knowing the scents to avoid and the scents to follow, he finally found himself looking for a place to rest in the outskirts of the city. Yet rest was the last thing on his mind when his sense were assaulted with a feline presence.
Nearing an old church which had been his destination for quite a distance, there was a vast range of creatures inside, all having one thing in common - they were felines. These were Lexis lands, however, that much he knew, though the combination of creatures inside rang more like Iris to K9, but that was likely his own paranoia. He swallowed a twinge of fear and walked in, not knowing what to expect.
A lion, two snow leopards, and two house cats sat in a church. Was this a bad joke? K9 almost hoped it was, but he quickly registered the grave seriousness on every face in the room. He chose to hang back, not entering the discussion. Instead he simply walked a few paces down one of the many aisles, say three or four or so away from the gathering, and hopped onto a bench to have a seat.
