Clarice
2 - Female - Canine - Border Collie - Loner - None
Personality:
Good Side: Clarice is very kind, and able to sympathize with even killers, a fact of her psyche that disturbs her. She takes her job very seriously, pushing herself to be faster, better. It’s her job to protect the inhabitants of this world and she doesn’t want history to repeat itself. She is very intelligent and looks for the details that others dismiss. Despite her flaws, Clarice is ambitious, always striving to advance, but at what cost? She hates that men sometimes underestimate her, such as thinking she can’t do her job well, or discussing violent details in private because she is a woman and “couldn’t handle it.” That only drives her ambition further, to show them that they’re wrong about her. Starling is brave, willing to put her life on the line for people who are close to her, and strangers who’s lives are being threatened. Clarice is very determined, and won’t let a case go until it’s finished.
Likes:
-Feeling safe
-Solving a case
-Helping people
-Rainy days
-Gentleman
Dark Side: Since the death of her father, Clarice is quiet and polite with strangers, never reaching out more then she has to, afraid that they might abandon her if she gets too close. She doesn’t trust easily, and it would take someone special to get into her heart. She normally keeps to herself and is very quiet. Her job sometimes gets her, leaving her nights plagued with nightmares. She is often irritable and silent in the mornings after her nightmares, not that anyone notices anything different. They are slowly eating up her sanity and she does what she can to persevere. But if you hurt anyone, be prepared for a firestorm. She won’t stop until you pay. She’s less vengeful with people she knows, but she won’t fully trust you again. And there is just one, tiny piece of her heart that’s dark.A part of her that likes killing. She’s trying to keep that part from showing, but everyone has their breaking point. Dead things don’t bother her very much. It’s a part of her mind that has dulled over time. The more she thinks about, the more it disturbs her. She doesn’t want to become what she hunts.
Dislikes:
-Rude people
-Her nightmares
-Being wrong
-Seeing anyone in pain
-Being accused of lying
Appearance: Claire has silky, mid-length red fur. Her back and legs are mainly a
darker red-brown, with patches of light brown. Her eyes are ice blue and
she has tan eye-dots over them. Her nose is liver pink. She has a white
blaze encompassing her muzzle and flecks of black on her face. Her ears
are erect and flops at the tips. In all, a prime example of a red merle.
She has a southern accent that she tries to hide.
History: Clarice was born in Charles Town,West Virginia. She had an older brother, Will, who left as soon as he was old enough. His place wasn't in Virginia. He wanted freedom and adventure. Clarice hasn't see him in a long time. Her mother became over-protective of her only daughter. Clarice grew to resent that fact and tried every trick in the book to get away from her mother’s watchful eye. Clarice adored her father. He was an expert hunter and taught her everything he knew. Clarice became excellent at tracking. But tragedy struck. Her father was killed when she was a year old by two dogs who were breaking into their abandoned home. One of the dogs was rabid, and her father went to protect them. Clarice blamed herself and shrunk away social contact. She was raised by her mother, who did her best to coax her out of her shell. Clarice moved away to try to find her brother and ended up in Hexasol City. She now works to protect the dogs of the Hexasol City, settling fights and keeping the peace. She doesn't want what happened to her father to happen to anyone else.
Season born: Spring
RP Sample: Claire’s paws were sore from all the running, but she didn’t stop. She hadn’t been this far before, but honestly she couldn’t care less. At least it was away from the City. Claire’s tongue lolled out of her mouth as she slowed down, her chest heaving as she tried to take in more oxygen. The dinner she was walking by looked like a nice place. She pushed open the door, the bell above her sending a cheerful note into the silence. She didn’t bother to check her corners. The bell would have already alerted anyone in here. Her nails clicked on the linoleum, breaking the silence that the bell had left. The cracked leather diner booths reminded her the chair back in the station. What would Reed have thought of her, of what she had done? Claire dispersed the thoughts from her head. He couldn’t be able to understand. That left her with the most pressing thought. It had been fun to kill. A shudder racked her body. She was an officer of the law. She shouldn’t be having such notions like the people she had caught. She wandered behind the counter and nudged the kitchen door. It swung open with a creak,it’s hinges protesting all the way. Sooner rather then later this whole place is gonna fall apart.
