(This is just for Novus members to get to know each other. Characters who weren't in From the Ashes you can say joined after. They still need a canine leader and Aide so he'll mostly be watching the canines) Because of the possible risk of one of the two remaining packs not wanting a new opponent, Virgil wanted them to stay hidden. He found a large cave behind Streimera falls. Hopefully it would be not only hidden but, a suitable living space for the current members and any others who may want to join. Virgil was currently exploring the cave, looking around the different rooms that could be used for sleeping in and thinking of where food could be kept.
The young snow leopard didn't want anyone to know about Novus just yet, not until this gang turned into a pack large enough to replace Lexis. He would go and try to recruit any loners that might be interested, hopefully the packs wouldn't show too much interest in rumors. He did think that cats and dog from the packs would have some sense knocked into them and would be interested in joining but, they may not all be trustworthy. Anyone could try and destroy the small gang before they had a chance to do some good. The only thing Virgil could think of doing without drawing too much attention is destroying and stealing any food the packs had. Since winter was almost here and prey was starting to become scarce, Tempest and Iris might have a hard time surviving.
Virgil paused, once again looking around. Luckily, the cave he found was behind one of the safer waterfalls. The entrance behind it led to a short tunnel and to a much larger room that could be perfect for large meetings. The only source of light was from a hole in the ceiling that only cats and dogs that could climb could reach.
Virgil continued to explore his new home, trying to decide what could be useful.

"Speech."
The day was beautiful. It was warm and the sun shone from an almost cloudless sky, its golden rays shimmering like diamonds in the surface of the water. And for the first time for what seemed like a very long time, Crystal felt good. She knew the danger wasn’t gone, but still it felt like a veil of peace covered her bruised body, as if the Novus was starting to redeem the loss of Lexis. The Novus gang was small so far, but still Crystal couldn’t wish for more. She wasn’t alone anymore. Most of those around her were tired and hurt like herself, but now they had each other, and they would get their revenge. Her thoughts calmly circled in her mind as she swam like a fish in the water of the Streimera falls. Normally it wasn’t a thing she’d do voluntarily, but her fur needed a huge amount of cleaning and it was nice to feel the cool water against her warm body. Besides, swimming wasn’t that hard. After a few minutes in the water, the rolling and kicking with her big paws felt almost natural. There must be some tiger in my blood, she thought with a smug tug in her lips.
Some others from the gang rested nearby, but an important figure was missing – a figure she soon saw wandering along the rocks of the huge falls. Since their first encounter, Crystal had somewhat tried to avoid Virgil the best she could. Why? She was embarrassed by her behaviour when they’d first met. She had looked down on him and his intentions, acting as if he was nothing more than smudge on her pretty paws. And then suddenly she’d cried out at the presence of Course, losing all control she must’ve had left in her body at that point. What wouldn’t Virgil think of her? Probably nothing good… Though they’d only been a gang for a few days, Crystal was slowly realizing that Virgil’s intentions were true. He was so different from the lioness Celia – he actually cared about them! He was young and inexperienced, but he seemed to have a heart of gold, and his ambitions failed at nothing. He could turn out to be a good leader if he truly was what he showed.
Then, suddenly he disappeared into nothing. Crystal now stood by the edge of the water, only her paws underwater, a frown coming across her features as she wondered what had just happened. He had gone alone up there, hadn’t he? What if… what if she could find him and… apologize, perhaps? She gulped at the thought of suddenly talking with him face to face, all alone, but she realized too late that her paws were already moving, carrying her towards the waterfalls’ cliff-side. Might as well get it done already then, she thought with hesitation while her paws as if in trance carried her upwards on the cliffs, swift and surefooted as any animal who was born to climb. She didn’t need to think much as she jumped from rock to rock, getting higher and higher off the ground as a bird of prey carrying off towards the sky on its majestic wings. She wasn’t scared of falling down, trusting her magnificent balance to keep her safe, using her long tail as well as the rest of her body for the deed.
And then she stood there, upon the rocks which Virgil had walked on not long ago. It was peculiar how this part of the cliff-side somehow was a rocky path, safe for any animal to walk on – even when not as adapt at walking on steep surfaces as she was. It was a place she hadn’t noticed at all when standing at the foot of the waterfalls, as if this was a perfect place to hide. But there was more to it. Hadn’t she stood right in front of it, she would never have found it, but suddenly it was there, a tiny part of the rocky path leading inwards, as if something was hidden behind the roaring waterfall.
Curiously, Crystal stepped closer toward the falling water, peeking in behind the wall of water to see if this was the place where Virgil had gone. But she saw nothing but darkness. Unsure at first, Crystal let her head closer, letting it into creak between the massive waterfall and the rocky cliff-side. Then her chest and shoulders followed, and then at last, her whole body was suddenly, as well as Virgil’s, gone behind the waterfall. This wasn’t just some small creak as she’d first thought. As well as the path she’d just stood upon, this place had been completely hidden for the eye to see. It took a little before her feline eyes adjusted to the dim light, but she didn’t need full sight to know what she was standing in. it was a huge cave, a secret place hidden behind the Streimea falls. ”Amazing,” she breathed, now seeing the huge space around her. Though low, her voice carried between the walls in a low echo and she flickered her round ears at the sound. ”Virgil,” she said, the snow leopard’s name forming on her lips as soon as she saw him, walking around as if examining the cave. A single laugh left her lips and she realized that her body had been tense but now was relaxing. ”How did you find this place? I’d never have found it, hadn’t I followed you,” she asked out in wonder as she paced toward him, looking around in the big cave in the process, eyes big as she tried to take it all in at once - all concerns about Virgil’s thoughts about her washed away.
((OOC: Crystal, now the little kid in the gigantic candy shop ^^))

As it turned out, the location of Novus' new lands was not left unattended. No, it had been the home of another creature for a number of months now. Banner, the Tibetan Mastiff, resisted the urge to rise from his slumber. He had grown tired and weary to a point where he dreaded the waking hours of the day. It wasn't because he hated each and every day in his god-given life - but more or less because he was afraid that one day he'd wake up and the former would be true. Banner was hanging on a very thin line as it was. It had become impossible to discern which sleeps were natural and which were induced after one of his catatonic rage episodes.
But the murmuring he could hear beyond the falls from the cave he was inside bothered him - prevented him from going back to sleep - no matter how much he twisted and turned on the hard, rocky, damp floor. Groaning, the giant breed dog opened and eye and then closed it, furrowing his brows and curling his lip in mild frustration. He bit back those feelings quickly, however. Now certainly wasn't the time to let his anger get the best of him - there was never a good time for that, really. He just wished that he could wake up and remember what he'd done the day before so that when he ultimately confronted the two felines outside, he could prepare himself for their reactions. If he'd gone to sleep by natural means, he'd appear normal, but if he'd fallen to sleep after one of his episodes, well... he'd probably look like a psychotic murderer.
Sighing, the canine lifted himself from his spot and hoped for the best. He padded along the cave quietly enough to hide the sound of his steps. He didn't want to spook them, but he wanted to get a good look at his guests before he actually confronted them. He peeked out from behind one of the waterfalls, still mostly hidden by the darkness of the caves. Two Snow Leopards. Oddly scented. They didn't reek of Iris Pride, so he was probably safe. Well, safe enough. If not, he knew he'd be fine. He always was. Not many dared take on a three-hundred pound canine.
He watched the two of them venture behind the largest waterfall and into a cave, hesitating to follow for a few moments. Banner was unfamiliar with the Gangs around Hexasol, let alone Novus. He had only recently heard of how Lexis had been terminated for good. A shame, he thought. War was never a solution to anything. Finally, after gathering his thoughts, he wandered into the cave behind the two felines, and, with a loud, secure voice, called, "What are you doing on my territory?"
