Claws clicked against the frozen shingles as a lioness walked casually across the rooftops. She was doing her usually patrol, scouting the Iris Pride's territory for intruders and unwanted burdens that may have made their way into the territory. Her large amber eyes scanned the streets below her, looking for anything that wasn't feline. Constant snowstorms kept hiding all trails of tracks and scents, so it was hard to find anything. No surprise, she found no foreign tracks in the snow below her. She jumped carefully between the buildings so that she did not slip and fall. She neared the border, and pricked her eyes forward to listen to any noises that may give away a hiding spot. After a minute or so, she detected nothing, and continued her way down the borderline.
She had found nothing in her patrol, just a few rats and other Iris members doing their own thing. She headed back toward the center of the territory, keeping an eye out, when she heard a fall and make a loud thump against the ground. Curious, she made her way quietly over toward the noise. She saw some claw marks etched in the shingles, and some disturbed snow as if something had fallen into the street below. She followed the tracks to see who it was, and saw some movement behind a dumpster. However, she couldn't fully see, so she would have to go around to the other side. She walked around and jumped to the other building to get a better look at the animal below to see if it was a friend or foe who fell.
