The Lights Are Going Out A Tempest/Lexis battle The day has finally come for the Lexis Tribe members. They have decided to ambush the Tempest Pack territory, aiming themselves at the heart of the pack: The Asylum. The ambush is led by Iris Pride member, Celia. Unbeknownst to the Lexis Tribe members, the Iris Pride lurks in the freelands, waiting for any stragglers to murder. If they're not careful, this will turn into an ambush.

She didn't make it obvious enough that she was happy, ecstatic even. The day had finally come where one of two things would happen after today; Iris would be the only pack in the city, or Tempest would do something useful. Celia would give this poor excuse of a pack more credit if they did all manage to survive and destroy Tempest. Even if they did, Lexis would be weak enough for her pride, who was hiding out in the freelands, to take out later.
Silently, she led the Tribe close to their destination during the night, before giving them their orders. "Spread out, kill any sentries you find then move to the asylum." She then quietly moved further onto Tempest territory. Celia actually planned on leaving them here; she planed on leaving and watching from afar as the two packs either killed each other or as one was destroyed. She most likely would abandon them as soon as they entered the asylum but, she didn't want to miss an opportunity to mess with some of the dogs.
As the lioness silently moved through the graveyard, she couldn't help but chuckle a little at a thought she had earlier. As a joke, she thought of making Elora or Mella second in command. It would've been hilarious to see everyone's' reactions to having to take orders from one of their two outcasts. But, she thought of Trojan and Claudius, the two dogs who looked down on her, a lioness who could take both of those dogs down without a second thought. She decided, just for the heck of it, to make Violet the second in command instead. Celia didn't know much about that particular cat, other than she got herself kicked out of Iris for some reason.
Celia focused on her chosen task, targeting a wolf who seemed to be searching for something instead of patrolling his pack's borders. It didn't matter what the wolf was doing, he didn't search well enough and was quickly snatched by the throat into the undergrowth. The wolf's throat was snapped in two before he could make a sound.
Celia would have liked to play with it for a while but, she couldn't risk any of those dogs finding her. She licked blood from her lips as she moved away from the carcass, moving closer to the asylum and searching for more victims.

The end was coming. The second the orders were given to move on Tempest, the old mastiff could feel the cold touch of death deep within his bones. The steady pounding in his head had only grown worse with time, his body deteriorating to where he wondered if he would last another day. But today was different; the swelling behind his eyes eased, and there was a stillness inside his soul, a peace of mind that he had not known since he was but a pup. The end was coming, and he was ready to accept it with open arms. Following along at a brisk pace, unusual for the slobbering old bat, Trojan kept to the shadows. His amber eyes never left Celia's shape. He knew he wasn't going to leave this place alive; it was suicide even venturing so close to the Tempest packlands. But to march such a ragtag group of misfits head on into a successful group's lands? Trojan knew few of the faces he knew around Lexis would ever leave the place again. Stifling a low growl, he followed a ways behind Celia as her first victim came into sight.
A young wolf, likely supposed to be patrolling, was caught entirely off guard. With one fluid movement, Celia snatched the poor beast by the throat and into some nearby underbrush. The creature seemed to try to let out a squeal of surprise, but only a hoarse wheeze could be heard before silence once more. Waiting, listening, Trojan crouched in another patch of underbrush, hoping to remain unseen by any other patrols while he stalked his 'leader'. He'd have his chance at her, soon, patience was key. Celia would carve her own path to the heart of Tempest, all Trojan had to do was follow in her footsteps. Creeping ever so slightly out of the brush, the mastiff moved to keep up with the lioness, only to be caught in the line of sight of another patrol.
Another wolf, young but still a bit older than the other, let out a vicious snarl before tipping his head to the night sky. A lonely, bitter howl pierced the hush of the darkness, but was cut short as Trojan charged forward, putting all his weight into grabbing and snapping the sentry's neck. His teeth connected with flesh, sinking deep as the metallic tang of blood flooded his mouth. A firm crunch rang in his ears as the wolf went limp, his strong voice reduced to a pitiful gurgle. Already out of breath, Trojan shivered as adrenaline coursed through his veins. It felt good to be in battle once more, but he knew that more sentries and warriors would be coming now; dragging the corpse into the underbrush, he bounded off in the direction Celia had disappeared. He could not lose her. He had one chance to make things right before he joined his family in the afterlife.

(Just so everyone knows, my idea was Celia has them sneak into Tempest at night while they sleep. But a former lexis member tells Tempest about what they were planning)
The lioness found it strange that there seemed to be more sentries out than normal. There was another wolf and a jackal sniffing and walking among the tombstones. Celia only took one step forward, focusing on the jackal until she heard a howl. She retreated her paw, waited for the jackal to run toward the source of the howl, then turned and ran. She quickly climbed up a tree, hiding herself in the leaves and branches as the howl was suddenly cut short. Had someone seen her? Or was some idiot not paying attention. If someone did see her, hopefully she lost them.
Celia actually wasn't too surprised to see, not a Tempest canine, but the useless old fart Trojan following the same path she had gone. Anyone who knew that old dog knows that he was one of the many lexis members that wasn't too fond with their new 'leader'; it would be out of character for him to want to help her. Celia silently snarled and waited.
Because Trojan had allowed himself to be seen, no doubt others would come to see what the problem was. For a moment she turned her attention to slight movement further away. There were a lot more canines outside the asylum. The only reason more dogs would be out right now is if someone had told Tempest what was going to happen. She wouldn't bee surprised if Trojan was the one. He was already technically turning traitor.
Celia looked down from the tree again and waited for the dog to get closer. Once he was below her she would pounce. She planed on destroying the dogs face, particularly Trojan's eyes. She would rob the old dog of his sight, then leave him at the mercy of Tempest. Maybe even his own tribe.
He wasn't sure if it mattered or not but, Gus liked the lexis tribe. He was even friendly to the felines in the tribe. In his eyes, they weren't as foolish as the Iris pride, the only cats he could think of that would willingly attack, torture, and kill any canine they came across. They were the only ones cruel enough to kill a harmless, pregnant loner. Once the delusional coyote heard about what was going to happen, he eventually started to question the Tribe's morals. They didn't kill random cats and dogs but, this was enough for Gus to question if the Lexis Tribe was really a peace loving pack.
He wanted to stay close to Brooke. Gusto was a full grown soldier now but, he still thought he had a lot to learn from his Mistress. It wasn't because of her age; Brooke never really seemed like an old lady to him. She didn't collapse as soon as she stood up, complain about weak bones, or do anything Gus would expect and old dog to do. To him, she was still the strong, respectable leader of Tempest.
Gus tried to stay as close as he could to his leader as he waited and watched. He silently scanned the area around the asylum waiting to catch any sign that they were getting closer.
He was reluctant to have to fight the, now former, pacifist Tribe but he had to try and protect his pack. There was a reason why he had chosen to fight with Tempest; Gus was on a mission, and he couldn't let anyone stop him.
Marnie She stayed mostly to the back of the Tribe as they headed toward their destination. Marnie kept herself hidden all the way there, making sure no one, besides the tribe, saw her before she moved. He usual wary expression was replaced with a look of pure determination. There was something the wildcat had to do, the thought of dying wasn't going to make her turn back and run off like a coward.
Marnie had once been raised as the heir of a small pride. One day a rouge came, killed one of the leaders, Marnie's father, and took over the pride. Marnie remembered being treated as his personal slave; he thought that because she was the heir, she had an uppity attitude. He would always beat her whenever she spoke, and she hardly got any rest because she was constantly being attacked by random cats and dogs, who were actually friends of the rouge.
She was forced to torture, kill, and eat her own mother. Because she feared death, she hesitantly followed his orders. He didn't even stay long enough to watch and make sure she did it. Marnie was too busy trying to make her mother's death quick that she didn't notice him leaving to get the rest of the pride in time to see Marnie with her mother's flesh in between her jaws.
Marnie caught glimpses of that bastard leaving and entering Tempest, no doubt he was part of that pack, which is why she was one of the lexis members who was determined to fight the pack of bloodthirsty canines. She began slinking through the undergrowth as soon as Celia told her. The only thing she didn't do was kill the canines on patrol. She left that task to the larger cats and dogs around her. She didn't care about the rest of the pack, she was after only one of them.
A howl suddenly broke the silence, causing Marnie to stop, crouch, and look around her. It was short, but enough to alert the other canines that were around. Marnie ran in the direction of the asylum and bounded up a tree. She watched the canines running below her, watching for one particular dog. "Where the hell are you?" She growled to herself as she stayed hidden in the tree and waited.

Though she had prepared the pack for battle long before the storm came, Brooke couldn't settle and sleep like she had been advised to. Beside her stood Gusto and a small group of other soldiers. The rest of them were scattered throughout the territory in select hiding spots where they could ambush the attackers. Despite her age and recent weariness from such a difficult birthing process, her mind was as sharp as ever. Lexis was foolish to think that they would be able to best them - even if there hadn't been a warning from a stranger earlier, The Mistress believed in the strength and power of the dogs she lead.
She still had at least one good battle left in her before she retired for good.
Brooke had a tactic for tonight's battle. She was well aware that she would be the main target for the ragtag group of Lexis fighters. They were so few in number that they had to be coming in with some kind of strategy, and she knew she wasn't on good terms with the supposed 'peace loving' tribe since she had refused Panja's offer to end the feud between Iris and Tempest. Beside her stood a dog similar in appearance to her - not identical - but certainly easily mistakable in the dark. Once the troops arrived, this dog would act as a decoy and move towards Tooth Cliff. From there, several divisions of the Soldiers would ambush the army. She herself would go inside the Asylum to guard over the pups and juveniles.
Scattered throughout the rest of the territory were the Order of the Fang and a few extra Soldiers for muscle for the ones that didn't take the bait, and just outside the boarders, the Brotherhood of Senka were laying in wait for any stragglers that might manage to escape near the end of the slaughter. Today, Brooke would show all of Hexasol that Tempest was not a force to be messed with. Ever.
There was a jackal she had sent out as a messenger to report when Lexis arrived. She wasn't expecting to hear a wolf howl, however. And it was one that was fairly familiar. Visibly irritated at the sound of a certain arctic wolf's voice, she turned to the first soldier she saw on her right side and told him to go investigate.
"Tempest, stick to the plan!" she barked. "Push them to Tooth Cliff, and either throw them off the edge or kill them with your own fangs! Show no mercy!" ---- "speech"
Lee felt like making mischief tonight, and where better to make a scene than in the heart of Tempest territory? After all, it was what he was known for around these parts. Causing trouble was just too much fun to pass up, "Maybe I should start calling myself Enrique 2.0" he joked to himself as he crossed the boarder into the now extremely familiar territory.
However, right away, he felt something was amiss. Hairs raising on his neck, he peered over one shoulder, and then the other. The air was so thick with tension that he felt like he could bite right through it. He sniffed the air, noticing that there was hardly even a breeze today. Usually, that was a good thing for when he was prowling around... but today, it only put him on edge. Something was definitely wrong. He just couldn't quite place a paw on what.
And then, as luck would have it, the faintest of winds picked up, and with it carried the familiar scent of... of lion. An Iris attack? he thought. That had to be it. If he could call some dogs to help him, he might finally avenge his father by taking down one of those vile creatures. The territory is so quiet. They must be sleeping. I have to warn them.
And so at the risk of his cover being blown, he let out a howl - just a short one. Enough of one to get Brooke's attention. She wouldn't leave him here, would she? If anything, she'd send someone to chase him away from the boarders, like usual. Swallowing, Lee rose his hackles and curled his lips. Reinforcements would take at least a few minutes to arrive, and he had a feeling he wouldn't get off Scott-free with that howl of his. "Come and get some."

Peace? Feh. So much for peace, so much for no fighting at all, for keeping neutral and trying to end the war. Ending a war with more violence was the stupidest thing Jupiter had ever heard... but he wasn't really thinking of that now as he followed Celia into the Asylum area. His ears flew back a little as he crept closer to the sentries. His job was simple. Take out the sentries as they moved in. Of course, it wasn't so simple when you were, even as the largest domestic cat, the smallest one around. His tail lashed behind him before he shook his head. His head and heart weren't in this at all. The last thing he wanted was to see blood... it'd just remind him of his mate, his daughter... He was glad that he told Jade to stay home today. He had a feeling nobody would be making it out of this thing alive. He, too, felt it deep within. He hated to walk any further, as each step was shaving another day off of his life. Less time spent with Jade... His lip curled a little again as he stopped near some brush before pouncing into it. A jackal was coming close; he must have smelled him by now. "Shit," he hissed under his breath. It was all a blur before he could even think, and his body moved of its own accord, lashing out and clawing out the jackal's eyes. That was about all he could do, handicap the enemy while larger members took them down. Blood was in his claws, and he had to keep his eyes forward. Dizzy, why did he feel so dizzy? He hadn't even killed anything yet, but he still felt like a merciless monster... He wasn't in Lexis for this. And now, with the juices and blood of a jackal's eyes all over his paws, he knew that as soon as he got home, he was taking Jade and leaving.
That is, if he made it home.
Ears pulled back as sharply as ever, he watched as a large wolf came forward and let out a short howl. Damn, was he too loud in his own attack? Maybe the wolf was just patrolling like the others. Was he supposed to go rip his tongue out or something? A nervous tic rode through his veins and made him shudder. His stomach lurched. His body again moved on its own, flying forward and hurtling itself straight at Lee's chest in order to push him back. If he landed, it'd wind him enough... maybe then someone else could do the final blow.
Harley stood in stony silence next to Brooke, looking over his shoulder to watch her sleep. While he tended to tease the poor woman, he knew she was needing her rest and he refused to bother her. This was the last battle she would have, he knew, and he wanted to make sure her pack lived through it. He let out a slight sigh. It had been an uphill battle this past month. One attack after another, trying their hardest just to survive and get an edge on Iris... now they had to worry about fucking Lexis too. Weren't they supposed to want peace between the warring groups? So much for that. Seemed like they were just an extension of Iris, if Harley thought about it. His ear flicked a little as he dismissed the rest of his thought.
Looking back at Brooke, he frowned; the sudden smell of blood and a wolf's howl reached his ears. Who the hell was that? Brooke looked a bit irritated and looked to him, telling him to go investigate. "Aye, cap'n," he said, still keeping his good-natured grin on his muzzle before running off. Hey, just because they were in a war didn't mean he had to be totally somber, right? Oh... yeah, probably. Whatever, when was the last time Harley was serious in a situation that called for it? Yeah, he couldn't remember either. He rushed off, his lopping gait coming to a swift halt when he saw the black wolf ahead. He didn't smell like Lexis, and he certainly wasn't a part of Tempest; he'd know the guy otherwise. "Oi, kid, get lost, there's a-" He looked forward and his eyes widened. Dead sentries littered the asylum grounds, and the air was thick with Lexis scent. Shit, they were here. His fur bristled and he immediately let out a few warning barks, trying as well to signal to the other soldiers and to Brooke that it had begun.
"You better get outta here, kid, or they'll tear you apart!" Harley barked, already moving forward to grab at whatever he could.

Ryu had been sent out on night watch just outside the Asylum while the Order of the Fang and a few soldiers were scattered around the territory to weak the enemy as much as possible before they came near the Asylum. A black dog would go for Brooke in the night, trying to lure the Lexis members toward Tooth Cliff, giving the Tempest dogs a huge advantage in the fight. Then the stealthy Brotherhood of Senka would take care of however many Lexis members would try to escape. What was the Lexis tribe even thinking? The black and white dog huffed out, eager to get out in battle and get these intruders away from the Asylum where the ones not able to fight were gathered. Gusto and Harley stood a little behind his post, both standing along with the Mistress, Brooke, as a howl sounded in the night. It was soon cut short though, and a low growl emerged from Ryu’s throat. He knew what that meant. The Lexis members had started to attack. They were getting closer, and fast. He wasn’t sure what kind of threat the Lexis tribe was, or what suddenly had made them attack, but one thing was for sure. They were emerging on Tempest, they were here to kill, and he wouldn’t let them do that. Underestimating the enemy, however peaceful they might have seemed in the past, would be his death.
As Brooke gave her order, he darted out with Harley and some other soldiers. The black dog who was supposed to go for Brooke was heading out as well, ready to lead the enemy toward Tooth Cliff. Many soldiers followed the black dog, flanking and protecting it as if the dog actually was their beloved Mistress. Another howl then sounded, one that he wasn’t really familiar with, but seeing that Harley was running toward it alone, he chose to follow. Who knew if this other wolf was part of the Lexis? If it was, Ryu wouldn’t let Harley face it alone even if he was a big and strong dog. After all, there could be others… the thought about attacking canines was strange to him, but he pushed the thought away. This was just another kind of enemy. An enemy nonetheless. He couldn’t let them get too close on the Asylum.
Just like Harley, Ryu was shortly startled to see the dead bodies of the Tempest members scattered around. The scent of lion, snow leopard and several big dogs hit his nostrils. The Lexis tribe surely didn’t want to make it too easy for them, huh? Too bad they hadn’t counted in that they were going to fight soldiers. Ryu then saw the black wolf, but before he could think whether the other canine was friend or foe, a cat leapt at him, aiming at his chest, and Ryu immediately reacted. He flew toward the cat, hoping to snatch at its back and hurl it away from the young, black wolf before it would knock him back. Then a Scottish wildcat emerged from a bush and leapt at his back, but Ryu was quick enough to take it by the neck and force it to the ground, killing it, before it could deal too deep wounds on his back with its sharp claws.
*** "Speech." She stalked toward the Asylum on silent paws, letting Celia, their oh so precious leader lead the way. Trojan was trotting just behind the lioness as if he’d go to his death with her. For now Crystal chose to stay close to Celia and Trojan, just to make sure she wasn’t suddenly alone in a fight with a bunch of Tempest soldiers. This was the first time she was going into a battle, hell she’d never thought anything but prey! Well, at least not besides the training lesson where Celia mauled her… she might be a snow leopard, but a lion was still bigger and stronger – no way she’d have been able to take that lioness down by herself. The night gave them cover, but Crystal’s white pelt gave her a ghostly appearance, making her extra keen on staying in the bushes where her coat wouldn’t give her away.
Celia then gave her order, and Crystal then parted with the others to go find a sentry. It wasn’t that hard. As soon as she got away far enough from the others, a beagle and foxhound attacked her out of nowhere. Crystal hissed as they attacked, hearing the sound of a wolf cry which soon was killed off. That was the first death of the night, and the beagle soon met his as Crystal’s fangs immediately found its throat. As she turned on the foxhound, she saw Trojan kill a wolf all alone in the corner of her eye. The foxhound caught a bite at her flank, making Crystal clench her jaws together in pain, but the old dog wasn’t fast enough to recoil, and Crystal hit its head with her massive paw, forcing it to the ground where she could make an end to its life. The two dogs’ ambush had failed. And that was when she started to think clear again. She’d killed two dogs… on her own… she’d killed two dogs on her own! What kind of madness was this? Somehow she felt proud – it felt like a success that she hadn’t been severely wounded, but on the other hand she felt sick. Two souls were dead because of her. She’d waltzed into Tempest territory, they’d defended it, she’d killed them. Something there just seemed unfair…
Gulping, she saw Trojan continuing walking in the direction Celia had taken. Perhaps I should follow him… Just to make sure he doesn’t do something stupid. With that thought, she followed the old dog in the bushes where she couldn’t be seen. It was then another howl sounded, coming from behind. Were they trapped behind two forces? Crystal couldn’t help but be nervous that was the case. If it was, it just gave the Lexis tribe even more reason to stay close together.

It was going to be an exciting night. Orion had been watching from the Asylum as the Tribe approached in great numbers. But the Tempest Pack had far greater numbers, and they were going to get slaughtered. He licked his chops eagerly as he heard a howl pierce the tense silence. Orion wanted to jump out into the action, but he waited for Brooke's orders. They were to drive the Tribe to Tooth Cliff so there were no means of escape. Fur prickling, he narrowed his eyes. Everyone was so serious, so solemn. There were lives to be lost tonight, and Orion didn't want one of them to be him. He huffed as they waited. He itched to move, to attack, the kill. His first major battle, and he was currently awaiting orders. When Brooke told a canine to go investigate, Orion sighed. He wanted to go investigate! He was pretty sure he recognised that howl. What the fuck are you doing here, Lee? I hope you get killed.
Finally, it was time to attack. Orion jumped from the Asylum and stealthily walked through the thick grass. He could hear noise from the Lexis Tribe. They'd had barely any training, it was almost laughable at how clumsy they were. He rolled his eyes as he tried to spy one of the weak ones. It was then that he came across a the lioness, leading her Tribe with her. Orion refrained from snarling as he watched a mastiff chase after her. He gazed at them in silence, wondering what the odds were of killing a lioness. Low. It was too risky. The mastiff was further away from the lioness, and Orion hoped to attack from the rear. A wide smile appeared on his lips as he stalked the mastiff. He was large, but so was Orion. It would be an interesting battle.
Then... Orion launched himself at the mastiff's rear, a snarl ripping through the silence. His jaws were wide, hoping to catch his skin. His two front paws hoped to land themselves in his skin, ripping at the flesh. One could only hope Orion had timed this right.
OOC; Yo, Orion's after Trojaaan

Elora was frightened beyond belief. She thought she could do this, but her whole body trembled with fear as she followed the group into the Tempest territory. This was so, very wrong. She wanted to bolt, escape with her life. But she wasn't going to betray her tribe again. She wanted to prove herself to them. She would lay down her life for them. Swallowing thickly, the hound carefully made her way through the thick undergrowth, keeping herself hidden. The howl had shaken her. They knew they were here, and soon they'd set the dogs on them. Shaking, Elora continued, trying to catch sight of Celia, but she'd disappeared. In fact, Elora had lost sight of everyone. She'd been so busy worrying, she hadn't noticed the disappearance of the rest of her Tribe. Whining quietly, Elora decided it was time to fight. She had teeth, she had strength, all she needed to do was use it.
A smaller canine was patrolling the area, and Elora pushed down any negative thoughts she had and attacked. The terrier hadn't seen her coming, and all she saw was the utter fear in his eyes, before she ripped out his throat. There was no glory in war. Stepping back, Elora stared down at the dead corpse, feeling sick to the core. What was this? It was barbaric. He could have a mate, puppies, and she'd killed without though. Elora peered behind her. Could she escape? It was possible. No one was here to witness it.
No! Elora shook the thoughts away. What the hell was she thinking? She had to press forward, attack the asylum with the rest of the Tribe. She kept moving, keeping her body crouched below the grass in hope to cover herself.

While he had hoped to not make waves, suddenly it was the packlands were a hive kicked by some stupid pup. Another howl went off, uninterrupted this time. Had they been spotted? No. That one short howl that slipped out before was all they needed. They had to have been expecting this. Sighing, Trojan felt a light wash of pity spread over his emotions. Celia was leading them to slaughter; whatever plan she had in store did not have Lexis surviving in the end. All at once, the pity was swallowed up by gut wrenching hatred. A deep, low growl rumbled through his chest as he slowly began to trudge further forward towards the lioness' location.
Yet with the simple crunching of a dried leaf, hell opened up around the old mastiff. From behind, a massive black wolf, rivaling his own size launched forward. The wolf came at him, paws outstretched forward and his mouth agape, firmly latching onto the plumes of thick fur at Trojan's rear. The old mastiff yelped in surprise, but quickly whipped around as his massive amounts of shedding fur were transferred to the wolf's jaws and paws. Reaching around to grab a mouthful of the black wolf's neck/shoulder, Trojan stretched his neck out to reach just as a familiar lioness came into view. Her streamlined body was ready to pounce from her hiding spot almost just above the two canines. Had he stepped a bit more forward, she would have gotten the first swing in. But as another shockwave of hate and adrenaline rocked Trojan's body, his whole body switched gears.
Pulling and pushing away from the wolf, Trojan barreled into the tree, jumping and climbing up a small ways, and barking as loud as he possibly could. You! He snarled, You did this to us! I'll see your throat ripped open for what you've done! A small patch of blood appeared at his behind, where what hair that was supposed to remain had been ripped out by the wolf, while splinters now tore up the soft, leathery material of his paws. Trojan had no time for pain, no time for regrets. Come down here and fight me like a real leader, Celia! Or are you lions too afraid to tango with dogs? Afraid you'll chip a nail? Completely ignoring his first attacker, Trojan left himself wide open to attacks from all around him; his focus was wholeheartedly placed on Celia. She would not leave without first dealing with her 'beloved' subject.

Marnie The wildcat was becoming more and more irritated. The pack was moving more now, but her target still hadn't shown up. Had the dog she was after abandoned his pack like a coward? Was this whole thing just a waste of her time?
Marnie was still up in the tree, looking down at the dogs that passed by and growling silently to herself. A dark smile spread across her face once her target finally came into view. He was a mixed breed; he was a medium sized dog with a silvery grey coat. That was the dog who was responsible for ruining her life. Today was the day she would return the favor tenfold.
Marnie waited. As soon as her target was in range, she lept from the tree snarling and with her claws out stretched. Marnie suddenly found herself on her side in the undergrowth, she could hear pained yelps from the dog. She quickly got to her feet and looked at him, she had punctured one of his eyes. Blood was pouring down his face and on the ground. There was even blood on one of his paws that he touched his face with. Marnie charged at him again while the dog was still writhing in pain. She managed to knock him over. She sank her fangs into whatever piece of flesh she could, she dug her claws into his side, trying to puncture his lungs.
Marnie and her victim's battle went on for a while, the whole time she payed little to no attention to everything around her. Marnie was soon looking down at the dog as he bleed to death. The tendons in both of his back legs were severed, both of his eyes were destroyed, and both of his sides were torn to shreds. His lungs could be seen, clearly torn open.
Only then did she pay attention to what was going on around her. She had gotten her revenge; what happened to her no longer mattered. (Anyone can play Marnie now since I don't plan on keeping her)
Everything probably would have gone a lot smoother if that dumbass Trojan had payed attention to what was going on. The lioness had her full attention on the old dog below her. He didn't seem to know where she was yet, good. She prepared herself to pounce then relaxed once she saw another wolf coming at the stupid mastiff from behind.
Maybe Celia didn't have to worry about killing the old fart herself, he was constantly leaving himself wide open. Surely even Brooke, in her old age, knew to stay alert in situations like these. She stayed up in the branches of the tree, watching the two dogs fight like they were just cubs playing. Trojan somehow noticed the lioness during the scuffle.
Celia was clearly amused when it looked like the fat dog was trying to climb the tree to reach her. She had a visible smirk on her face as she looked down at him and he barked at her. She unsheathed her claws and slashed at his face as hard as she could, intending to destroy his eyes like she wanted to earlier.
"Do you honestly think I have to waste my time with you?" She said, still smirking and talking as if he had told a joke. "Pay attention to your surroundings for once, you fucking idiot." Trojan was stupid enough to let himself be seen twice, the second time he was attacked. If he kept that up, Celia wouldn't have to do anything but watch as there would be one less pack to deal with.

ooc; Mmm, Koen goin after Elora, because everyone else is otherwise engaged.
Tempest had been prepared. The dogs had planned the second they got wind of Lexis moving in to attack, had made sure everyone knew what they were supposed to, and what action was to be taken to keep the loss of life to a minimum. Or, at least loss of Tempest life. The attack was sure to fail, but still Koen felt on edge. His hackles remained flared up, his ears flicking about as his mind raced. Howls had gone out; the enemy was here. Lexis was sure to be crushed with ease, but already some of the other sentries had gone missing. The merle mutt gulped with anxiety. He didn't want to die, he was too pretty to die!
Taking care not to step on any leaves or branches, Koen thought of the training he had been given since joining Tempest. He was a hunter. Lexis was just his prey. They were nothing, a rabble of misfits blinding charging towards the Asylum, clumsy and insignificant. If anything, it felt more like they were to be a distraction. But still...rumor had it that the tribe was run by a lioness. Lions were big, maybe one could eat the mutt in one bite...NO. No, focus Koen. Protect your family. Protect Zara and your pups. Walking around, he laughed quietly at the thought of having to actually protect his mate. Zara was strong, stronger than he. She could more than handle her own, but he still worried.
Taking a deep breath, Koen continued his patrol. Coming to a stretch of tall grasses, he paused. There was a soft, distant rustling. Could it be just the wind? Fear nipped at his conscience, telling him to run, to distance himself from whatever monster lay in wait for him. Letting out a soft warning wurf, Koen kept his head down and his body poised for attack as he entered the ocean of green. It didn't take him long to to catch the scent of blood; it was fresh. Panic spread through his mind as he searched around, only to trip over the corpse of a terrier he had seen in the Asylum when they were given their orders. His throat had been torn out, only a mess of blood and broken flesh left of his neck.
Whimpering, the sentry froze as there was more rustling nearby. Was the killer back for more? He shivered before bolting off, his paws vaulting his body through the brush. But, as typical as Koen got, he didn't get far. Not seeing the tawny body crouched along the ground, Koen's legs collided with the body's side, sending the mutt flipping only to crash and slide in the dirt. Spitting and sputtering, he flipped himself around, struggling to get back to his feet. Show yourself! He snapped in between mouthfuls of dirt.

"Speech."
Trojan followed Celia determined and Crystal wondered why he was so keen at staying close to the young lioness. On the other hand, she had to confess that their new leader always had seemed suspicious. She simply didn’t seem to care much about the Lexis members and now she’d let them to a battle which just as well might end up as a slaughter of the tribe. She’d thought about leaving with the others who didn’t want to take out Celia’s plans on the Tempest Pack, but with the continual wish of becoming the tribe’s leader – and her hatred toward this creepy Celia – the snow leopard just couldn’t leave the rest of the tribemembers to be with the lioness alone. Besides, she also wanted to know more about this stranger, who’d become their leader in no time. And she wouldn’t let Trojan follow her blindly. Trojan was a big, old, stupid, slobbering dog, but he was way better than Celia.
Then, out of the bushes, rushed a black wolf right at Trojan. She wasn’t close enough to lunge at the wolf yet, so she quickly increased her strides, still trying to move as silent as possible. Trojan had been surprised, but not overwhelmed, by the younger wolf’s attack. Then it seemed like his eyes focused on something else, something up in the trees. Looking up, Crystal found their beloved leader, Celia, lazing it off, just watching as her tribemembers were at war with the Tempest Pack. How dare she! No way Crystal was going to let that fatass get away with that! But she needed to get the wolf away first, because Trojan just left it and shouted at Celia, clearly sharing Crystal’s thoughts.
Finally being close enough to her target, Crystal leapt from the bushes to give the black wolf a scare. Her claws were out and ready to tear his skin if he wasn’t fast enough to recoil and a fierce snarl emerged from her throat. Hoping to have scared him at a fair distance, she leapt at the tree in which Celia sat. ”Take care of the kiddo first, Trojan. I’ll get our little Princess down in the meantime!” she said, showing her fangs more than necessary while speaking, looking up at Celia who did nothing for the Lexis Tribe. Just like Celia, Crystal’s claws made her able to climb up the tree where dogs couldn’t reach. ”You’ll pay for this you idiot. I bet it was your plan the whole time to lead us in a trap,” she hissed, reaching out for the lioness with a clawed paw, hoping to get a good scratch at her leg. She wanted to tear the smirk off the lioness’ face.

Surprisingly, the large mastiff ignored Orion's vicious attack on him. He gazed up at the tree, where a large lioness was lolling on a branch. Orion snickered. He'd heard rumours that an Iris cat planned to infiltrate the Tribe. This must be here, and this mastiff had just found out the truth. As much as Orion longed to kill the lioness, he knew he'd stand no chance. However, it appeared the female wasn't going to stop Orion attack the canine, so Orion continued. Backing up when the mastiff retaliated, he looked at his surroundings. His stomach dropped when he saw a huge snow leopard launch at him. Eyes wide with fear and surprise, he had no time to react when her claws sliced through his torso. Hissing in pain, Orion jerked back, just in time to see the snow leopard also ignore him. Instead, she had leapt into the tree the lioness was on.
Well, thank God the snow leopard wasn't going to attack him again. Breathing out a sigh of relief, he concentrated on the mastiff again. "Looks like your beloved leader has sent you all into a death trap. None of you are getting out alive, d'ya know that?" Orion taunted as he began to circle the canine, "The Iris Pride are waiting for you. Waiting for anyone stupid enough to flee. You're trapped and you're all going to perish." He grinned gleefully, before leaping at the huge canine, hoping to catch his flank. He was large, meaning that he was probably slow to react. However, his size was at a severe disadvantage for Orion if he wanted to penetrate the skin.
Orion briefly halted his attack to look at his surroundings and make sure there were no other Lexis members advancing on him. He could hear the barks and yowls of fights in the distance, but it appeared there was no one else nearby. Okay. One lioness, one snow leopard, and one oversized mongrel. Orion could do this. Piece of cake.
Oh God, who was he kidding?

Elora had been stealthy, but not stealthy enough. She froze at the sound of pawsteps nearby. Holding her breath, she gazed through the gaps in the thick grass, but could see nothing. They could smell her. Elora wanted to bolt, but she knew it would be suicide. Instead, she stayed in the same place, barely breathing. Her eyes were wide as she desperately hoped the sentry would go away. The sentry had just found the corpse Elora had slaughtered in cold blood. He'd be able to follow the scent back to its murderer. No, no, no. Elora began to tremble with complete and utter fear. She didn't want to die. She had so much more to do. She wanted to see the sunlight again, she wanted to feel the caress of spring and the happy naivety of puppies in the summer. She was going to die here, and no one would ever remember her name. She was a nobody, a traitor.
Suddenly, she heard a rush of pawsteps. Elora began to crawl backwards in hope to hide, but the sentry suddenly tripped over her legs and came tumbling to the ground. Elora scrambled to her paws, quickly looking back at the canine that she'd just tripped. He was mostly white. It was difficult to see in such dark light. He suddenly snapped, and Elora jumped. She didn't know whether to obey his order or not. Her whole body shook as she finally confronted her enemy. They were nearly the same size. A good match. Elora warily bared her teeth at the Tempest dog. This was going to be a fight to the death. She didn't want to do this.
Please let me live. I don't want to die.

Valkyrie was almost nervous as she waited near Brooke to be given the order to attack. She wished it were only the Iris pride Tempest would face in this battle, for she didn't like the idea of harming normally peaceable canines or felines. She'd contemplated hiding somewhere until her hated enemies showed their faces - that way she wouldn't be tired out by the time they came, and she wouldn't have to kill any Lexis members - but there didn't look to be that many of them away. There were more than enough Tempest members left over to act as guards for those who couldn't fight. Her stomach roiled as she glanced down to where several dead sentries lay. She hoped their deaths hadn't been too painful.
The young she-wolf pricked her ears and stared as a loud howl sounded - far away from where Tempest was gathered. Lee! Contrary to her brother, she hoped he'd be all right. Goodness knew, she liked him more than the scrawny git he'd turned out to be. Orion could. . . No, she shouldn't think like that - even if she didn't like him, he was her brother.
At the Mistress's signal, Valkyrie surged forwards towards the cliff. Almost immediately, a feline ran to meet her - a caracal, smaller than she was but bigger than the average cat. Smiling grimly for a moment, the young female guessed she had little choice now. Dodging out of the way as the feline went for her throat, she aimed a bite at one of its flanks, tasting blood on her tongue that told her she'd been successful. The caracal hissed in fury, swinging around to slash its claws across the side of her face. Blood blossomed from the blow as the sharp appendages ripped through the fur and the skin beneath. Gritting her teeth, she ran at the cat, following it when it attempted to avoid her and attack from behind. In a last-ditch effort, it seemed, the Lexis cat made as if to blind the young solider; a yelp of alarm left her lips, and she instinctively shied away, diving forward to prevent her opponent succeeding as it continued aiming for her eyes. Powerful jaws closed around its neck; it only had time for one short, agonised yowl before there was a crack, deafening to the wolf's ears, and then it lay still.
Dropping the carcass in disgust, the timber - arctic wolf cross shook herself, shivering slightly. Just as she was about to jump back into the fray, she caught sight of a spotted white body streaking away from the battle. Curious, she gave chase, wondering where the Lexis member was going.
Valkyrie arrived just in time to see the snow leopard jump into a tree - glancing up, she saw that there was a lioness in one next to it. She didn't smell of the Pride, but everything about her screamed that she was from Iris. Down below, she saw Orion attack a mastiff before dodging away to take in his surroundings. Was her brother really so arrogant and foolish as to think he could take on all three of them at once? Ignoring him for the time being - she'd help if the Lexis dog appeared to be gaining the upper hand - she looked up at the two felines again, a growl leaving her mouth as she focused on the lioness. "What are you doing up there, scaredy cat? Letting you little puppets fight the battle for you, are we?" Her voice was filled with contempt and spite. She didn't really expect the large feline to attack her, but if she did, she'd just hav to keep her wits about her. It had been just over a month since her rescue, and she'd gained a lot of strength and size in that time, but she still had a while before she would reach full strength for one her age. And she knew it would be foolish to face a fully-grown lioness in her state.
But hatred wouldn't let her back down.

For a moment, she stayed in the tree and watched the old dog and young wolf before yet another figure appeared and approached her previous ambush spot.
Still smirking, the lioness looked down at the snow leopard as she too tried to climb the tree. Crystal had only climbed high enough to reach up a clawed paw, as if a scratch would be enough to make her angry and come down. Celia questioned why the snow leopard didn't climb all the way up to reach her if she was so keen on trying to kill her.
”You’ll pay for this you idiot. I bet it was your plan the whole time to lead us in a trap,”
Celia only chuckled at this, still smirking and now giving her a somewhat impressed look. "I'm surprised someone like you managed to think of that on your own." Celia quickly reached her head down to grab at Crystal's paw, or whatever piece of flesh she could grab. She would make sure to cause as much damage or draw as much blood as she could, then Crystal would be dragged up into the tree and pinned down.
"What are you doing up there, scaredy cat? Letting you little puppets fight the battle for you, are we?"
Someone else had come to try and piss the lioness off. It was another wolf, a female this time. She was even less of a threat than the one who had challenged Trojan. Celia visibly rolled her eyes. 'Will I always be surrounded by idiots?'
Crystal would be tossed onto the newcomer if she was caught. As much as the young lioness would love to stay and watch this trainwreck, it looked like she would have to play with these two and leave as soon as possible. Unless she wanted to risk waiting for the entire Tempest and Lexis to come here. She would leave these two with as many wounds and broken bones as possible then slip away as the Lexis Tribe faded.
(sorry if it's not very good. I haven't been in too many fight threads and I don't think it's okay for me to powerplay a little)
