He stood silently for a moment, simply listening to the sound of pain, fear and rage. It reverberated around his tall ears and thrummed within his heart; battle. The young male should have been scared and he should have stayed at home like Zara told him too but Bear was tired of being treated like a child when he was not. In a few months time he would be a warrior of Tempest and he was ready to start acting like one.
Adrenalin coursed his veins and his sharp eyes scanned the area rapidly, seeking his sister. He knew Antigone was here somewhere and as he stepped forth into the action, Bear prayed that she would return safe, alongside the rest of his beloved pack. Muscles coiled, teeth bared, he leaped with a snarl on his lips. A wailing cat flung itself onto his back and Bear reacted instantly by swinging violently to the left so that it lost grip, but as he surged down to tear it's throat the small tom sped off into the mass of writhing bodies. Bear snarled with outrage, "coward."
Out of the corner of his eye Bear saw a Lexis bitch begin to slink away towards the cover of a bush, and his hackles flared. She was a traitor to her own race, a fool and she would die for her crimes. He trotted with speed and purpose towards the golden dog, dark eyes smoldering with blood lust. Koen appeared at his side and Bear gave a grim smile without taking his eyes from the Lexis scum. "Brother, I'll take care of this one."

As Elora faced the large canine before her, she suddenly heard the booming voice of a lion. Briefly turning around, she saw Alexander on the borders, offering to give the remaining Lexis felines a new home and shelter. Petrified, Elora almost went over to him and beg to be taken prisoner. As much as being held prisoner would be awful and degrading, Elora was desperate for her life. She was exhausted and scared. Vicious canines were surrounding her, and she just wanted to watch the sun rise once more. Trembling, she turned back to see another, brindle canine had joined the first. He looked fierce, and Elora took a step back with wide eyes. Her heard pounded as blood roared in her ears. The chaos and noise was making Elora feel dizzy. Taking a few deep breaths, she faced the new canine, who looked eager to fight her. This is it, Elora. You can kill him. She repeated inwardly as she gazed into his bright, amber eyes.
Elora launched at the brindle canine, teeth bared. She was clumsy and not good enough to target a vital area. She pulled back and tried again. It wasn't a good method, but Elora had no idea how to fight. She was weak enough already. Her legs shook, her balance was awful and she wasn't killing this dog. Gulping, Elora quickly realised she was losing this fight. She wished she'd had more training before coming out here. How had no one realised this was a suicide mission? The more Elora thought about it, the more she realised Celia hadn't intended for this to end up as a success. She had intended to kill every last Lexis cat and dog off. Rage burned in Elora as she pounded at her opponent again, but missing by a longshot.
After a few minutes, Elora was tired and ready to beg defeat. "P-please don't kill me. I don't want to die." She whined over the noise. Her wounds ached and stung as she all but collapsed to the ground.
ooc; didn't want the powerplay, but basically Bear is owning her?

As the larger dog stared down into his opponent's golden eyes, his mother's voice sounded out clearly in his mind. She had died because of feline scum and this girl here deemed it acceptable to walk hand in hand with them. Tempest had lost so many to Iris, and now Lexis had launched an attack on their territory, who the hell did these peace-fairies think they were? One brief gaze over this cowering female told Bear that the Tribe was cut out to fight ... pathetic! A tide of repulsion rose in chest as he stared harder, a cold anger alighting in his dark eyes. Bear tensed his strong muscles and bared a snapping jaw lined with glinting fangs; he was ready to prove himself. No more child's play, no more pretending, it was time to step up and fill the empty pair of shoes his father had left behind.
There was movement from his weak enemy as she threw herself in Bear's direction and immediately he swung out of her reach. The brindle akita mix had a feeling this wouldn't take long and a cruel smirk emerged, this little lady was going to die at his paws. "Is that the best you can do, really?" He sidestepped around the Lexis bitch and began to circle her with a menacing growl rumbling from his throat, dodging when she tried again to attack. Now, quick and quiet he turned on her. A thunderous thrum of growling, snarling and barking could be heard as Bear unleashed his fury on the helpless canine. Latching his powerful jaws onto her shoulder, the dark dog shook his head from side to side and ripped open the soft flesh beneath.
In minutes Bear had slashed and torn violently into her body, leaving her totally weakened. A whine came from the golden, bleeding female's throat and a pleading string of words that fell on heartless ears. He did not share an ounce of sympathy or pity towards this fool; she should have chosen Tempest, she shouldn't have betrayed her species. Her begging made him feel sick with disgust and the brindle shepherd-cross sneered, "You should have thought about that before you and your Tribe invaded Tempest territory." The juvenile stepped forward and shoved his paws onto her chest, pushing her down into the bloodied earth.
Adrenalin throbbed within his veins and a feeling of elation came to him, finally his chance to avenge his mother was starting, and it would begin with his first kill. "Time is up." And with that, Bear brought down his jaws around her throat, digging into her trachea and pulling back; ripping the skin, flesh and blood from her neck.
ooc: hope you don't mind that I just went ahead and did it, thought we needed to move it along c:

Violet She hissed and yowled in frustration as her furious efforts were thwarted by a flying ball of fur to her right. Before she could do ay serious damage Violet found herself rolling over and over, clawing at an unknown enemy o the ground. Bite wounds stung on her shoulders and spine as finally they tumbled apart and the orange she-cat grabbed a glance at her attacker. Alice! Oh, she should have known the little toerag. The other feline spat at her and the meaning of her opponent's words sunk deeper than face value. Vi had always been wary of the ex-Iris member because there was a possibility Alice knew about the dark past that haunted her and now she was sure. It all came rushing back: the pain, the jealousy and the blinding infernal rage. "You do not know me, you know nothing of what happened. You will never understand." Stark had been the only cat she could ever have loved and despite their tragedy he had run off and slept with some other bitch, it was the worst kind of treachery. Their children had still been warm in their graves.
Now was not the time to grieve and Violet closed off her feelings, lowering herself to pounce again when a familiar voice reached her ears. Alonso. Damn the wretched pup was still alive? The huge Labrador landed at her feet and was grappling pathetically with her leg, causing her to hiss and snarl. "Oh shut up you ugly idiot, you were a fool to trust any feline ... hasn't today showed you this?" There was no sympathy, no warmth in her eyes as the chocolate male slumped to the ground and left his jugular vulnerable. "Once Iris, always Iris." She whispered into his ear, before leaning down and sinking her teeth into his neck.
ooc: lawl terrible but wanted to get it done.

She was losing, Elora thought hysterically. She was losing and she was going to die. Open wounds oozed from various places around her body. She was weakening, whilst the brindle canine appeared to be getting stronger with each blow. Heart pounding, Elora finally tumbled to the floor. Panting and gasping for breath, she stared up at the canine with fear in her amber eyes. He was going to deliver the killing blow and she wasn't ready. She rested her head on the ground, too weak to hold herself up. She heard the male mutter some words, but they washed over Elora. She was too exhausted to understand what he was saying. Staring up at the dark sky, Elora just hoped it would be quick and painless. Her heart pounded with fear, and she let out a small, quiet whine. Death was closing in on her, and she didn't want to be taken from this world.
Teeth closed around her neck within seconds, and Elora let out a guttural shriek at the sudden, burning pain, as the canine ripped at her throat. Elora begun to choke on the blood that was filling her lungs. Convulsing, she finally looked up at her killer for the final time. His eyes held no mercy as she wildly thrashed from the pain. Each breath was impossible to take as she coughed up more and more blood. Squeezing her eyes shut, she thought of her puppies; lost at the paws of the Iris Pride. She would be with them. She hoped they would forgive.
Her body stilled.
Orion turned on his heel, intent on looking for more prey. As the black wolf stalked, he came across a feline. Surprised, Orion hid in the thick, long grass, watching as the feline closed her jaws around the chocolate lab's neck, killing him almost instantly. She was not an Iris cat, the stench of Lexis was far too clear. So why was she aiding the Tempest Pack in killing them? Orion decided it wasn't time for questions. Stalking forward, trying to be as quiet as possible, he inched his way closer to the pale feline. She seemed to be oblivious to his presence, and a toothy grin appeared on his lips. Oh, this is going to be far too easy, He thought to himself as his amber eyes narrowed on her. She looked pleased about the death of the dog. She must be insane, or she planned to join Iris after all this was over. And Orion couldn't let her do that. She was going to die by his paws.
Once he was close enough, Orion pounced at the feline, trapping her in his two, large paws. Their eyes locked, and Orion let out a ripping snarl. "Bye bye, kitty. See you in hell." And with that, he lunged at her neck, his teeth sinking into her fleshy skin. That was too easy. Blood oozed into Orion's mouth, and he quickly dropped the cat, spitting the blood out onto the ground. Grimacing in disgust, he cast one look back at the limp, dead body, before moving into the shadows to find his next prey.
ooc; I assume you wanted Violet dead asap, Kezz? If not, I can change the post <3

Chip had reached the battle with the rest of Lexis, hours ago, amid the confusion - and dove straight into the fray, aiming for the first Tempest dog he could reach, a Labrador. His opponent seemed rather surprised that Chip wanted to fight - and that he actually knew what he was doing. The Rottweiler mix didn't hesitate, and soon his first foe lay on the ground, blood gushing from his throat.
With his ear torn, Chip kept fighting, and it was almost as if the injury had invigorated him. At one point, he took on two smaller dogs - both miniature Pinschers. They snapped at his legs; one jumped up at his throat. He managed to make them collide with one another, and in the moment of confusion, he rammed them so they feel over, snapping their necks somehow in the process.
By the time Alex's voice sounded over the clamour of the battle, Chip had four dead canines to his name, as well as several broken bones. His own right foreleg was crippled, and so he limped when he walked, but he was still determined to take out as many canines as possible. His eyes narrowed and a growl welled up in his throat as he spotted a young black wolf (Orion), walking away from the body of Violet.
Ignoring his leg, the Rottweiler mix launched himself forward, hoping to slam into the young Tempest member's side. The two were of roughly the same size, and even if he couldn't kill this youngster, Chip would do his best to give him some serious injuries. His strength and energy was flagging - but he wouldn't give up until he was dead, or someone gave him a good reason to leave.

The black wolf turned just in time to see a rottweiler mongrel lunging towards him. Swiveling to the left, Orion quickly dodged his sharp fangs by an inch. Snarling in fury at the sudden attack, Orion's blazing eyes quickly examined his opponent. Roughly the same size, however, Orion was certainly stronger. He was a trained wolf, whilst this was a pathetic Lexis dog. This was probably his first true fight. Scoffing at the canine, they begun to circle each other. They were both judging each other, watching their techniques, and figuring the best way to attack to create the most injury. "You're losing, dog," Orion teased, "Look around you. There's nothing but dead Lexis. You're one of the last ones left. Your precious leader had deserted you."
Cackling, Orion finally threw himself at the black and tan canine, lunging for his neck. Before Orion could fall back, he attacked again, this time aiming for the torso and his neck. Finally, Orion withdrew, panting from the exertion. The end of the battle was near, and Orion had survived it. All he had to do was kill this stupid dog, and he would return to the base. Orion's hind leg was stinging from a wound inflicted earlier on. His torso was littered in several cuts and scratches, but they were mere flesh wounds. He would not be defeated so easily. Orion's skin and fur was thick and difficult to penetrate. This Lexis dog would have to try a whole lot harder than that to get him.
"What you waiting for, dog? Let's see what you've got." Orion shouted over the chaos. The deaths of canines and felines could be heard for miles. They washed over Orion with little effect, however he wondered how the rottweiler would react to his comrades' deaths.

Chip growled in frustration as the wolf dodged his bite, and began circling him, looking for a weakness of some kind. He wasn't anything like an experienced fighter; he'd been in a couple of scraps when he was younger, and the only kind of training he'd had had been back in Lexis, over the last few months. But he was determined to take this canine with him to the grave, get rid of one more before he died. At the youngster's words, he snarled, "Don't you think I know that, wolf? I'm not fighting for them. I'm fighting for myself, for the sake of the good felines of this city - to rid it of few more canines like you!"
The adrenaline that fury lent him allowed the rottweiler cross the speed to dodge the wolf's bite to his neck; in turn, he ran by his foe, snapping at the thinnest part of one of his front legs, hoping to break it or cause him enough pain to be distracted. He lingered the but for a moment, but it was long enough for claws and sharp teeth to sink into his neck. It began to bleed profusely; already tired, and now likely bleeding to death, Chip knew he couldn't last much longer. He had to make a few drastic moves before the black wolf finished him off.
He could hear the cries of canines and felines alike as they were slaughtered, but this mattered little to him any more. He knew now that Celia had led them into a death-trap - but he didn't care. He could have run off a long time ago, but that would have meant deserting his feline comrades - betraying them and proving himself to be just another ordinary, despicable dog. The most he could do to help them was continue fighting until the end.
Panting, he ran at the Tempest male from the side, hoping to bowl him over. But before his teeth or claws did more than graze the fur of the other's flank, the wolf's strong jaws closed around his neck, crushing his windpipe and breaking his spine. A mouthful of blood left the mouth of the Lexis dog as his opponent released him. Eyes glazing over, the mongrel took one last choking breath, head flopping to the ground the same instant that he died.
OOC; Hope you don't mind the powerplay Pic, I just wanted to get this finished<3

SpeakingThinking
Alice just watched, wide-eyed, when Violet sank her teeth into labrador's throat. She wanted to run and scream. She wanted to help him. But she couldn't. She was frozen in place. Her eyes were fixated on scene happening behind Violet's back. Dogs and cats of Lexis were pushed off a hill. She didn't care about Violet's history anymore. The only thing she knew now was that she wanted to survive. Alice and Vi were on the same side of battlefield, on losing side of battlefield. Joining Iris wasn't an option now. The dogs formed a line, separating Lexis cats from Iris' leader and killed every cat that wanted to join. Not that Alice would want to join this so-called pride of treacherous bastards. "Violet, we have to get o..." but it was too late. A puddle of blood formed under Violet's corpse and a large, black wolf with bloodied muzzle was standing above it. Alice let out a hiss of pain and then she turned. And ran. As fast as she could go. She heard dog's jaws snap behind her as the canine tried to grab her, but she was too fast for him. Fear sunk deep into Alice's mind. The blue feline suddenly tripped over a large object on the ground. She looked down. It was Elora with a gaping wound in her throat. Oh, god Alice's head turned around as she ran into opposite direction. She tried not to look at all the dead bodies she jumped or tripped over. Suddenly a large wolf grabbed her by leg. She yelped, turned around and pushed her claws into canine' eyes. It growled and turned around, giving Alice all the time she needed. By the time she arrived to Tempest pack' border her left ear was torn and there was a long wound on her right thigh. But it wasn't over yet. Oh no. Alice growled and pounced on Iris' feline and ripping it's throat out. An angered serval attacked her from the right and bit her in the shoulder. Alice hissed and grabbed the Iris male by his ears. She tore the up and male yelped letting her go. She continued her run until she was far away from the fight. She collapsed on the fllor and took a deep breath. She served her time in Hell.
OOC: Alice's exiting the thread.
